Sandpiper Villas Chobe

Very clean and comfortable. What we so not like is al the extras. Breakfast was included but you need to pay for coffee. Also the trip on Chobe was not very well organised

The setting is great

Wi-Fi and TV and hot water was a problem BUT the staff really tried their best to sort it out.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome right from the time we arrived. The villa was large, with two very comfortable bedrooms and very efficient air conditioning. The activities we arranged through the property were excellent - our guide, Andrew, was extremely knowledgeable and made the game drive and river cruise particularly special. There's a small supermarket right next door. On our last day we were driven to the airport for no charge.

The WiFi in the villa was extremely poor, with no signal whatsoever for long periods. TV reception was also very poor, making the television unwatchable. In the bedrooms, there are no bedside tables nor light switches within reach of the bed, and you have to get out of bed to switch the light on and off. The safe didn't work. It's a long, hot, dusty walk into the town.

We stayed here in middle of 2 week campingtrip through Botswana. Great break, back in civilisation . Modern, well equipped 2 bedroom apartment, both with en-suite bathrooms. Great views from top floor deck over the river. ( most units are bungalows). Very friendly and helpful staff. Great cooked breakfast. Exceptional (as in quick, and ironed) laundry service

I love the location of this property. It is away from the noise of the Main Street. It is wolidky constructed and the finishes are thoughtful.

We stayed on a first-floor villa unit with fantastic views of the Zambezi River. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, spotted lots of different types of birds and even spotted hippos grazing at night. They came right to the fence. The unit was well furnished and had all that we needed for a self-catering stay for a family of 4.

There was no wifi at the villa.

the location and facilities were generally fine, not that we saw the room, since they noted that it is because bookings.com does not tale a deposit that the room was double booked

Before our arrival, we reached out to inquire about their pick-up service from the border, asking for the cost. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that our room had been double-booked - something they hadn't mentioned when we contacted them for pick up service. This left us with little to no time to find an alternative place to stay. The situation was especially frustrating because, despite the error being on their part, the staff made little to no effort to assist us. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and support in resolving the issue was disappointing.
