Fort William Henry Hotel

a very nice place to stay

I will give you 3. First - no elevator in delux building and you to move yours luggage to the second floor without an elevator. second - there is no hot water in the shower. But the restaurant is excellent. It close at 9:00pm

Absolutely awful. Had I been able to get my money back, I would have left after the first night. The bed was so soft if you laid near the edge, you fell on the floor but if you tried to sleep in the middle, there was a hard lump. The rug was stained and “wrinkled”. It obviously needed shampooing and to be stretched. The cushions on the chair were very stained as if someone urinated on them. The fireplace was broken. The windows were very dirty. I paid $425 a night for this disgustingly dirty room. That’s just unacceptable!

An awesome location at the start of the slow season .Very friendly and helpful staff and we hope to stay there again.

My family of four had a wonderful weekend at the Fort William Henry Inn! The resort's location is truly spectacular, with lovely grounds overlooking Lake George. We loved taking advantage of the amenities, from swimming in the pool to the unique experience of listening to the cannons firing from the fort—it made for a truly memorable trip. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it for a family getaway!

The grounds and views were breathtaking. Girls weekend, from MA, and staff was friendly, housekeeping to desk to restaurant and bar. We stayed in the Grand hotel and room was quiet, bed was comfortable, though the room was perhaps a touch outdated. We had a jet tub in the room that was great. The hotel is in a great location next to the Fort, the steamship docks and main street for shopping and dining. We ate most of our meals at the hotel's restaurant, Lakeside, which did not disappoint. Even with 3 weddings, Fort reenactments and a local balloon festival all going on, we did not feel like they were struggling or that we were invisible. If we are ever up that way again, we would definitely return!
