"Great stay!"

Our stay was overall great. The hotel is definitely a bit out dated but that didn’t take away from the beauty of it. The buffet was good but definitely repetitive, however I am celiac and they took that very seriously and made me a separate meal every night (I brought a medical condition card in Spanish to explain the severity of it). Drinks were ok- basic booze. Nothing special but the bartenders made it special. Douglas at the beach is for sure where to book your excursions (can pay cash, credit card or PayPal) Town is about a 15 min walk and great to go exploring Overall- we would absolutely come back.

"Fantastic group get-away"

The perfect resort to relax or explore with a group of 10. The friendly and helpful staff made our holiday special. The resort is intimate with only 200 rooms and offers 2 speciality dining restaurant along with their daily buffet. This is our 4th vacation here and we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful time. "Beautiful location"

Location and rooms are great. The food is only mediocre. They did not change over any of the food at the snack bar and the food at the buffet became very repetitive. The staff was friendly enough, but not overly nice. The night time entertainment was good.

Overall excellent service , the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends. A special thank you to a young man at the service desk. I didn’t get his name, he helped me with printing a document that I needed.

"FABULOUS STAY"

We really enjoyed Occidental Tamarindo,. The location was nice for walking and exploring the town. The accommodations were clean. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and kind.

It's a beautiful location and the grounds are well kept.

My husband and I are in our 70's and they put us in a room on the third floor of a building with no elevator. Also, there wasn't much attention paid to the buffet-no spoons for the fruit, burnt toast sitting in front of the toaster oven, and the pancakes were just awful.
