Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jackson by IHG

From the initial booking online to checking in with the receptionist, Alysha, this was a great hotel and I was beyond surprised with the entire hotel, staff, and what they offer for the price I paid. Our King bed room was spacious with a mini fridge, microwave, and sink. We had a couch with a pull out bed as an extra space. The bed was super comfortable, my room was not old and very clean, and my view was really pretty. Parking was free, breakfast was free and fresh every morning, while the hotel offers free unlimited coffee all day and night long. They even have a pancake machine that you watch dispense the batter, cook, and then come out on your plate which the kids loved. I was extremely impressed with how good the food was, the options available and then every morning it changed so it was not the same breakfast everyday. I need to give a special shout out to the receptionist Alysha. She went above and beyond what you would expect from a moderately priced hotel. I have stayed at many high end hotels and never received the level of service and care I got from Alyshia. Thank you, Alyshia, you made my stay so much better and you are a kind person. The world needs more people like you In it and I hope that Management reads these reviews. I also want to acknowledge the breakfast cook and cleaner I encountered, I didn’t get their names, but they too were so kind and helpful. I absolutely loved staying at this hotel and for sure would go back and recommend to anyone in the area.

Snapshot of Services front desk - good, when there. Stood at front desk, could hear staff, but apparently they couldn’t hear me. So, functionally, there was no staff. Room status - fair- no shower curtain, thus no shower. Breakfast - above average, very friendly staff! SPA out of service Pool closed Wi-Fi - non-existent. Apparently could not handle above average guest count. Could not get on at all on Sunday AM. This is a dealbreaker for me as I must have at least an average working Wi-Fi. Will go elsewhere next trip and pay more to get stronger Wi-Fi.

Very nice and accommodating, breakfast was great and everything was worked well, except the TV, I think the remote was not synced to it, but I really needed to sleep so I didn't call it in.

I frequent this location for work. The staff is always welcoming and friendly.

Great everything was on par.

Very disappointed with our last stay. We have stayed here several times over the years but this time our room was missing the couch / love seat that should be in the room as well as a lamp missing on the nightstand. Breakfast was supposed to be included on a Saturday morning but all the food was gone by the time we came down for breakfast at 8:30am. When we asked about the missing furniture, the front desk person just said it had been removed because it was worn out and old. We will not be staying here the next time we visit Jackson CA.

Front desk was great, the hotel cleaning staff, both in and outside does a really great job on keeping everything cleaned and manicured...would definitely stay there again.
