Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jackson by IHG

The staff is nice and helpful but the owner has decided to cheap out and not upgrade this hotel. As a multi year diamond member I stay roughly 100-200 nights a year in hotels, primarily holiday in express. This is by far the worst one I use. The A/C’s are old, loud and never on prior to check in. So when you get there after a long day working in 100° temps you get the same thing walking into your room because the A/C is always off at the owners request and The window is open to vent old musty smells. The A/C units are so loud they sound like a tractor idling beside your bed, and hardly produce cold air so it takes 2 days before your room gets to a livable temp. The towel are beyond a joke, I wouldn’t dry my dog with them. They are tattered and ragged and should be thrown away all together. The breakfast starts later than any IHG I stay at and is completely not usable by working guests that are out the door before 6300-700am. I am told by staff this is on purpose to keep costs down. Stay somewhere else, anywhere. This is a terrible representation of a IHG property…

I’ve stayed at this holiday inn express several times to visit family who live in the area. It is always clean, well managed and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

The room was clean, and the place was quiet. We noted, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Holiday Inn did not honor my reservation for $330 through Expedia. They over-charged me 2+% more than the contract we had.

Clean, new, comfy room and a good breakfast spot.

nice property for a stay in Jackson; we had stayed in a HIEx the night before in a different city, so the breakfast offering seems standardized - the food was tasty and there was a good variety of favorites. Especially appreciated Jennifer's assistance for checkin since we were early and the hotel full - she ensured I had a comfortable wait and got us in as soon as a room became available, even before the official checkin time. Thanks, Jennifer, for a nice stay and quite possibly switching to this HI Ex from our usual hotel in Jackson. (Exercise room was a nice alternative to walking in 90+ degree heat !)

Terrible, refuse to vacuum and thoroughly clean your room and the same sheets are put back on your bed. Horrible. I hope my company never puts us up here again. For being a Diamond Elite member this is pretty unacceptable.

First room had a/c unit masking incredibly loud noise. Also found a dirty pair of shorts on the floor in the corner of the room. When I called the front desk the attendant was sympathetic but said they only had one other room available that also had noisy a/c unit. I opted to switch based on my feeling the first room wasn't clean. Second room had equally noisy a/c unit. Spoke to attendant while checking out the next morning and was advised that the same problem persists with several of the rooms. Will not stay here again until hotel is refurbished. Employees helpful and seemed embarrassed by the condition off the rooms.

The air conditioning sounded like a lawn mower every time it went on.
