Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa

My spouse and I selected the Omni Mount Washington for our anniversary trip, fully expecting the level of service, consistency, and refinement typically associated with the Omni brand. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of that standard. While we understand that early June is considered “mud season,” the issues we encountered went well beyond seasonal limitations. Across multiple departments, the stay reflected operational inconsistency, service gaps, and amenity closures that collectively created a two‑star experience at a five‑star price point. Key concerns included: • Golf course conditions with damaged tee boxes and fairways under repair • The clubhouse restaurant unexpectedly closed during a planned retirement gathering • Stickney’s restaurant offering a subpar meal, then closing another night for a private event • No Wi‑Fi in our room on the first night, preventing my wife (a nurse) from completing required documentation • Illness after the mushroom tortellini at 1902, consistent with foodborne contamination • Room AC not functioning for two days • The Cave speakeasy closed, with staff citing staffing issues • Bretton Woods Lodge restaurant near the stables closed • A paid gondola reservation where we arrived early, only to be told the mountaintop restaurant was closing in three minutes • The patio bar — one of the amenities we were most looking forward to — closed • Spa hot tub jets not functioning • Massages that did not reflect the level of training or quality expected at the premium price Individually, any one of these issues might be understandable. However, the cumulative impact created a stay that felt misrepresented and far below the standard expected of a historic, premium‑priced resort. We left feeling disappointed rather than refreshed — not the outcome one hopes for on an anniversary trip. I hope management will take this feedback seriously, as the property has tremendous potential. With more consistent operations and guest‑ready amenities, it could deliver the experience guests expect when choosing Omni.

Great location and beautiful grounds. Room was next to housekeeping so quite noisy with a squeeky door that slammed shut staring early in the morning so no sleeping in.

I have been to the Omni many times before. This is the first negative experience I had. Linen was soiled, room was not up to par. Conference food was not edible; I was afraid to use the pool or hot tub with what I saw. The hotel had a conference going on and the stairs were not useable due to recarpeting. Very bad experience.

So so disappointing. I think the staff is just practicing running a hotel, because there is NO professionalism here. Overpriced; staff , valets to housekeeping to culinary, under-trained or not trained. I started to right a detailed review but it was taking so long that I finally gave up.

We decide to experience our honeymoon here. The hotel is amazingly beautiful and the staff is wonderful too. The history of the hotel is so cool. They have a tour every day at 10am, it is worth checking out. We stayed in the Presidential suite and the view from our balcony was breath taking. The restaurants were also very accommodating and the food and drinks were delicious. Everything was clean and fresh. We can't wait to visit again.

A beautiful experience with plentiful outdoor space to enjoy. Stickney's is great and the staff are wonderful throughout.

The experience was great, the hotel was absolutely beautiful the only downside was the main hallways were filthy the restaurant floor was dirty sticky food crumbs all over the chairs my wife had to wipe her chair down your feet stuck to the floor and the Rosebrook Cafe main dining area was clean very nice food was excellent the cave was very nice bartender there was really nice and talkative told us a lot about the place. The staff is very cool and very nice. The only thing I think they should work on is their cleanliness. There were no towels at the pool although we did go a little later in the day there was still no towels so we had to go inside to get the towels. They seem understaffed for a hotel that size. Again I recommend going to this place because it's absolutely beautiful but bring your own vacuum.

Amazing location and incredibly nice staff. Historic hotel with updated wing that had good amenities.

The property has been undergoing renovation. It could use a really good scrub down.

Prior to arrival I received an email from Augusta Ouellette asking if we were celebrating anything or had any special needs. She was very accommodating. We had an amazing experience as always at the Mount Washington Omni hotel. This is our 5th stay at the Omni. We stayed in the presidential Wing, which I highly recommend rooms are very spacious, clean and great views. We visited in December and they were in the process of remodeling,. The updates were not quite done while we were there but what we have seen so far it’s amazing. From the time we drove in it was an amazing experience. We were greeted at the front gate and felt very welcomed. Kia at the front desk was amazing and very polite and was helpful with any questions I had. Upon arrival we saw Jess the restaurant manager for 1902 and Rosebrook and she let us know that Jamaican Marvin was still working there. We were excited to have him for breakfast which we did and he was amazing as always, very pleasant and attentive to our breakfast needs. We visited the spa and had pedicures. The staff in the spa were amazing. Shauna who we see every year always takes the time to say hello to us. Eli the spa attendant was very attentive to our needs. We look forward to returning again. I would suggest visiting anytime of the year. We have visited in the winter spring and summer and it is different every time we go.
