Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa

From the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we left we were treated like royalty from all staff members. We ate at all 3 restaurants in the hotel and every one was fantastic with staff to match!

Nice time, food was good, yes there was paranormal activity, lol lights on and off in the middle of the night, knocking of the door. We had an issue with noise till midnight from the class trip students, but management made it right. Room was updated. Elevator small, because of how old the hotel is, but staff told us about the service elevator for my husband as he is in a wheel chair. Friendly staff. First day was ruff everyone checking in and one elevator. Plus’ construction workers, could not use stairs do to painting, After that it was fine. Beautiful up keep! Golf course needs work for a 5 star resort. It is a walk from the parking lot but they do have a valet service for a fee, presidential suits is a walk from the main hotel. They should have a seperate check in area and drop off to make it easier for the bell man. It’s a hike!

Had a fabulous 3 days at the Omni Mt Washington! Golf, pool, dining and the room was awesome! Highly recommend it for any occasion or just to relax! We celebrated our 48th and were very pleased with our choice!

1. The service is terrible every time I enter the premises during the day. I feel like they treat me like an enemy, asking me every time where I’m going, my room number, and so on. 2. They charged me an extra $20, even though I’d already had a long conversation with the front desk. The woman admitted there was an error in the system. But you charged me that extra $20 anyway.

We stayed at this resort for a wedding. When we booked the room, 4 months in advance, the wedding block had apparently been filled up, so we had to book a room at the regular rate. 3 weeks before our stay, we received a call from the resort saying that the room we had booked was "under construction" and would not be ready in time for our stay. We were put in a room at Bretton Arms Inn and were not told that the inn was a completely separate property from the main resort. We told the woman we spoke with on the phone multiple times that we were hoping for a room in the wedding block because we were staying here for a wedding, and she compensated us for the room change by honoring the wedding block rate. When we arrived, we found out that the inn was a completely separate property from the resort. The whole reason we booked the original room was because we were going for a wedding where every single event was happening on the main property. We did not want to stay in a completely separate building and have to take a shuttle back and forth all weekend. On top of that, the gate attendant told us to go to check-in at the Bretton Arms Inn, but when we arrived there was absolutely no one there. We were able to find a staff member who then called the main property for us, and told us we had to check-in up there instead of at the inn. Thankfully, one woman at the front desk was very helpful when we arrived and moved us to a room on the main property. Unfortunately, this room was in the very wing that was still under construction. The hallway and room reeked of paint thinner and other construction smells. Construction noises such as hammering, drilling, sawing, and other noise disruptions began every single morning at 8:00AM and did not cease until late in the day. This made it impossible to stay in the room during the day or attempt to take an afternoon nap. Upon check-out, we were charged the regular resort rate because our reservation did not say that we were part of the wedding block, even though we had previously been given the wedding block rate to compensate us for the original room change. Cocktails in 1902 are absolutely terrible, I couldn't finish my drink it was so bad. I had the Cucumber & Elderflower Gimlet and my husband had the Vermont Whiskey Sour. Both cocktails were imbalanced. The sour was served on the rocks, which was unexpected. It also did not have any egg white, which is a shame. There were ice cubes floating in the gimlet, which, being served up in a martini glass, just showed the inexperience of the bartenders.

Hotel is currently under renovation, specifically the older sections. We were on floor 1 while construction was occurring on floors 2-4. We had 4 rooms between our group and all rooms were 1/4 - 1/2 smaller than they were prior to renovations. Our room was so small that the bathroom did not contain a vanity and had a simple pedestal sink. Unfortunately the construction started around 9am and was louder than expected from the rooms. We have been yearly for a golf/spa weekend, which can be hit or miss due to the early season. Unfortunately the Spa was not open, which was disclosed when booking in November as the calendar did not allow viewing. Stickney's was also closed, also not disclosed when booking. The golf course was understandably not open but that was to be expected due to the weather. 1902 dining was great as usual and the Cave is always a good way to end the evening. The newer cafe on the main floor was outstanding and their vanilla latte was great. Stickney's was not open, again very disappointed this was not disclosed as I would assume construction for both the hotel and restaurants was scheduled well in advance. Very disappointed by the $20/day self-park charge. Staff was and is always outstanding and pleasant. It's very unfortunate because we typically love making a yearly trip to the hotel but may be looking elsewhere in the future.

We were nicked and dimed at check out. A "Resort fee" for "complimentary" snacks? Parking fee, in the middle of nowhere? This is not a city setting! Ridiculous. Then we were woken up at 2 am with a fire alarm. No complimentary breakfast or anything for that inconvenience. Ridiculous! I even called to complain and NO ONE got back to me!
