"Satisfactory Overall"

8.0

Overall, you cannot go wrong with Omni properties. This particular visit was a bit subpar to the other experiences we've had, however. Part of the reason was that we visited off-season (April a/k/a 'mud season'). This meant that a lot of attractions in the area were closed for the season or because of poor weather. The property itself was also going through a significant amount of maintenance and renovations. This meant we didn't have the typical experience of live music in the main hall in the evenings with its typical hustle and bustle. A couple of restaurants were also closed and there seemed to be new or temp employees who didn't live up to the typical Omni standard. Outside of that, it was a satisfactory overall stay. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. The rooms were generally comfortable and in tip-top shape. The restaurants that were open were satisfactory except for Rosebrook which had a wait staff that didn't know what they were doing. The pools (including the outdoor heated pool) were open as advertised as was the fitness area.

"Breath taking views and history of the resort make it a must see."

10.0

Love the grand lobby and history. The presidential wing is very nice. Food was excellent. Lots of areas to lounge.

We went during a lot of construction and updating so some of the facilities were not open.

"Bucket list checked off."

We have wanted to stay here for years and it did not disappoint. Everything about this hotel is top notch from the hotel and restaurant staff to workers who were onsite doing remodeling.

"Exceptional will go there again"

8.0

Room was great, better than expected. Amenities were really good, the Club Lounge was available for breakfast and an early evening aperitif, which made a welcome difference to our stay.

A lot of refurbishment was ongoing, which made access to certain areas difficult as well as the closure of certain facilities.

"Amazing getaway!"

8.0

We just returned from a three day stay. What an amazing place. The beauty, history and the staff were amazing. Food was delicious at every meal. We did the tour with Ed that was very informative and very interesting. We will definitely be back. Can’t wait to see the finished product of the renovations.

"Great hotel, shoulder season experience."

8.0

Overview: All in all you really can't go wrong staying here and we'll definitely return when we're able. We love this hotel and had a great time. If we're being picky there were a few things that felt a bit off, where they fell short of a true luxury experience (which the hotel seems to be aiming for). Caveat: Our stay was on a Tuesday night at the end of ski season and beginning of shoulder season. Renovations were in progress. The great: Excellent customer service all around. Dinner at the 1902 restaurant was delicious and the restaurant itself is very nice. Breakfast and happy hour in the presidential club lounge were basic but appreciated. Our room in the presidential wing was beautiful and had a stunning view. Throughout the hotel there are lots of comfortable spaces to relax, enjoy the views, and people watch. The hotel is obviously in an amazing location. Depending on the weather you're right in the heart of a ton of outdoor activities. The less great: Lots of renovations happening. Loud construction in and around the lobby. This is a personal preference issue but we didn't expect our room in the presidential wing to feel so distanced from the main hotel. It was a long walk from the main lobby to our room, particularly when we'd just self-parked and walked from the parking lot. If you stay in the presidential wing and have a lot of luggage, it's worth having the bellhop help you with it. But we repeated that long walk to and from the lobby a number of times, including to dinner and back with my wife wearing high heels - it's just a bit cumbersome and feels more like staying in a nice convention center than a historic hotel. I'd say the presidential wing makes a lot of sense for families and large groups like weddings but if you want the traditional grand hotel experience, stay in the main hotel. We were disappointed that what used to be a neat bar next to the 1902 restaurant was closed. It was a cool upscale space for pre- and post-dinner drinks but looks like it's been used most recently as a cafe. That seems somewhat reasonable but there's also a coffee shop downstairs and so many other spaces that could house a cafe. Stickney's restaurant was closed for renovations. The Cave is a unique space and a fun spot to hang out but the experience there was a bit off. Again, it was a Tuesday but it felt like half sports bar, half attempted speakeasy. The speakeasy vibe is really popular right now but they haven't quite nailed it if that's in fact what they're going for. The drinks were mediocre at best but the regular bartender had called out so a waiter from upstairs was covering. Live music would be great (jazz/blues/live dj), and maybe ditch the TVs? It all depends what they're going for but they definitely play up the speakeasy atmosphere and I think came up a little short. Technically it's possible to charge your EV but you need to bring your own charging cable, and I'm sure it's very slow charging (just a few standard outlets in the parking lot). Having to pay for parking was unexpected and disappointing. Sure there's apparently a shuttle to and from a free remote lot but I'd feel even more sheepish doing that than carrying my own luggage to and from the main parking lot. Summary: We'd highly recommend staying here. It's a beautiful place and a fun hotel to experience. However I think they'd benefit from a master planner - someone to help capitalize on all of the available spaces and help them hit the marks that they play up on the website. A few tweaks could help elevate a very good experience to a seamless, curated experience that's as unique and luxurious as advertised.

"Lovely stay with amazing view!"

10.0

All was fine. They are doing extensive renovations but we still enjoyed our time. Lovely location with view of Mt Washington. Convenient shuttle to Fabyan’s. Our server for breakfast, Marvin, was wonderful! Amazing breakfast buffet!

No issues. We understand the situation with renovations.

"Relaxing stay, great staff and amenities"

10.0

We needed a quick get away and the mount Washington came through. From exceptional servers and staff, great food in the 1902 dining room, amenities etc. The Presidential wing rooms were spacious , clean and access to the lounge was well worth the money of what was provided. They are doing renovations to upgrade areas but this did not deter from our stay. Next time we will plan to stay longer and already planning. Thank you for a relaxing visit.
