"A Small Hidden Gem!"

My husband and I had the absolute best time. We have been to a few different sandals locations and this is our new favorite! The hotel is small but the beach is absolutely amazing. The water is so still, we stayed in for hours. Dwight and Ellis were our butlers and they were fantastic. Our room was huge, they refilled our coolers with drinks on the beach throughout the day. They also delivered us lunch every day to our lunch chairs on the beach. Ellis got us the temperpedic pillows we requested. We came back to our room and there was always wine and cheese waiting for us. On a few days there was a bubble bath waiting for us as well. We took a 7 minute van ride to Sandals Montego Bay to have dinner at butches steak house. It was so easy and the shuttle runs every hour.

"Return trip to Sandals Royal Caribbean"

This is our second visit to Royal Caribbean. This time we chose the butler room to experience what it was all about. Our dear friends joined us on this trip and we had the same butler team of Jerome and Kristoff. Jerome and Kristoff were well attentive with dinner reservations and escorting us to the restaurant. They provided a very nice covered spot on the beach for the four of us and the beverages we desired. They would surprise us with drinks and food on the beach as well as a pre-dinner cocktail. My husband and I are not the type of people who need a lot of attention but our friends, however, did utilize more of the services the butlers provided. Upon our return to Royal Caribbean it was nice to see some familiar faces we remembered from last visit. We would like to thank Glenroy for the wonderful breakfast and lunch buffet everyday and, of course, his charming personality. Thanks to Lamar for his outstanding service and pleasant demeanor at Spices. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful beach and the many swimming pools and the three hot tubs. The evening entertainment was very enjoyable and interactive at times. We visited the loyalty and travel office and booked another Sandals vacation. Thanks to Janessa for her expertise and patience in assisting us to find the perfect room for our next Sandals adventure. A special thanks to Kaye for joining our table at the welcome back dinner and for sharing her time with us. In addition the lovely farewell song Kaye and her team sang for us as we departed.

"Worst Travel Experience Ever – Deeply Disappointed with Sandals Royal"

After seeing the glowing reviews and dreamy promotional images, I booked a stay at Sandals Royal with high hopes for a relaxing luxury getaway to celebrate my birthday. Instead, it turned out to be the worst travel experience of my life. We checked in on July 3rd and were so disappointed that we checked out the very next day. To start, we were never informed—either by Sandals agents or through any pre-arrival communication—that the majority of the property was under renovation. This lack of transparency felt incredibly deceptive and set the tone for a series of failures in service and experience. We paid a premium for a private “luxury” transfer, which was advertised as a high-end car experience. What we got was a dated BMW with two stale sandwiches and deviled eggs — hardly the start of a luxury vacation. Our dining experience on the first night was a disaster. At Bombay Dreams, we arrived at 6:50 PM and were told to return at 7:30 PM due to not having a reservation. When we returned at 7:28, we were completely ignored while other couples were seated. Only after flagging down the manager (Latoya) were we told—rudely—that we had no reservation, despite following her earlier instructions. We walked out. We then tried to eat at Spices, where we encountered more disorganization. Despite Tameka’s efforts to assist us, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. We waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged, and no one offered us drinks during the wait. Basic hospitality was sorely lacking. We also had issues with the internet — which we paid extra for — and were unable to stream a single program properly due to connectivity issues. Thankfully, this was refunded, but again, not something we should’ve had to chase. On July 3rd, we called the front desk to confirm our departure transfer for the next day. We were told the “air desk” was closed and someone would follow up in the morning. No one did. At 7:30 AM, we had to go down in person and ended up arranging our own taxi. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable at a resort that markets itself as “all-inclusive luxury.” Although the front desk attendant was pleasant, the manager (Steve) only showed up as we were leaving — disinterested and with zero sense of urgency or responsibility. It felt like he was there just to be seen, not to actually help. Lastly, a small but telling note: can no one make a proper latte at Sandals? For a brand that boasts about its luxury, even the little things were consistently underwhelming. Where is the service and the high-end quality that their brand represents? This trip was supposed to be a special celebration. Instead, we left frustrated, disappointed, and desperate to get on the next flight out. For the price we paid, this was beyond unacceptable. Given the lack of transparency about the renovations, the failed private transfer, and the overall poor experience, I believe I’m entitled to a refund for the transfer and possibly partial compensation for the misrepresented conditions and subpar service. I will never return to Sandals, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this resort to anyone.

"Absolute paradise"

My husband and I stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean at the end of May for 6 days and had SUCH a fantastic time. It was our first time at a Sandals and my husband’s first time in Jamaica. The grounds were stunning, the staff friendly and helpful, and you have a variety of options when choosing the rooms. I’d recommend going for the butler levels - they are WELL worth it! Special shout outs to our fantastic butlers Sherry Ann, Joslyn, and Kish for making our experience unforgettable. They helped with all our dinner reservations, reserved us spots on the beach, and made sure we were never without snacks or drinks. They also surprised us a few times with cute “extras” like a romantic al fresco bath on our private patio and having dessert set up in our room when we got back from dinner. We didn’t book anything ahead of time, but there were plenty of opportunities to do that while we were there. The Res Lane Spa is a MUST while you’re there - best massage I’ve ever had in my life! Note about proximity to the airport: We wanted to be close to the airport and have a quick shuttle ride, but the planes do fly directly overhead so please keep that in mind when booking if you think it will bother you - the planes only fly from about 10am to about 7pm so they don’t disrupt sleep and we didn’t mind it at all. Also puts you in close proximity to the other resort in Montego Bay which you can shuttle to at no extra cost. We pre-booked a stay at Royal Caribbean already for next year (different room) and can’t wait to be back.

"Amazing Staff"

It’s a great resort - smaller and more quiet if that’s what you want. The staff is absolutely amazing - Alexis, Rochelle, Rose, and Dewayne were fantastic. From the folks who made up our room to the staff at the bar, even the maintenance staff are very friendly and engaging! You get some noise from being close to the airport but it’s not that frequent. We will be back!

"Incredible stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean!"

My husband and I had an AMAZING time at Sandals Royal Caribbean! Our room was beautiful and well-maintained, and having a swim-up room could not have been any better. Highly recommend the Crystal Lagoon Swim-Ups! The ONLY negative would be the minimal food options, but being able to go over to Sandals Montego Bay to dine definitely made up for that. Rosan in housekeeping was so sweet and very kind. She made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, and she greeted us every time she saw us with a big smile, even checking with us to see when a good time for her to come by to clean would be. She is a beautiful person inside and out, and I am so thankful that we got to meet her. One afternoon, my husband and I got back to the room just as she was about to start cleaning, so we asked if we could go out to the swim-up pool while she worked. When she was finished, she asked for us to come in for a moment, and she had run us a bath in the soaking tub. That was such an unexpected surprise, and the bath was incredibly relaxing. I really appreciated her attention to detail. She made us feel important and valued. Shamar in entertainment had a big impact on making our trip what it was. He has incredible talent, and he was fun and kept us smiling anytime he was around. He can sing, play the piano, and those dance moves were incredible too!! Shamar took time to get to know us and even came in to work a little early on our last day to tell us goodbye. We can't wait to come back and see him! Our favorite bartender was Chris. That man has more energy than I ever will! Everyone knows him, and everyone loves him -- the singing bartender! He puts on a show, and he makes things fun! Chris remembered mine and my husband's names after telling him just one time. He is great at his job, but he's also a wonderful human being. I also can't wait to come back and see him! Lady J was another staff member who made a big impression on me. She is beautiful and so sweet and loving. I hate that I met her on the last day of our trip, but I was thankful that I got to meet her. I had heard some other guests talking about how wonderful she was, and when I met her, I could understand why! Sadly, I didn't get to hear her beautiful singing voice, but her kindness was much appreciated. The people in Jamaica really make it feel like "home" for those of us who don't live there. It is my favorite place to be, and it's truly because of the beautiful people of the island! Sandals and Beaches Resorts will always be my #1 all-inclusive resort brand. I can't say enough about the staff overall, but these 4 made our stay exceptional. They are doing an amazing job at Sandals Royal Caribbean! 🥰 We can't wait to come back!

"Third time"

This is the third time we went to the royal carribean resort. We love it. The atmosphere, staff, food, drinks are all first rate. Great spa and private island. Our butlers , Sheldon and Andrea are the best. We have booked a fourth visit for June 2027. WE LOVE IT.

"Great Stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean"

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary last week at Sandals Royal Caribbean. The experience was extraordinary. Loved our Swim Up Butler Suite and were spoiled by Jermaine and Candice who served as our butlers. They constantly went out of their way to make sure that our stay was grand. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at both the pools and beach. Our favorite meal for breakfast was the buffet at Spices, Themed lunches there were good too as was the pizza place and the grill. Dinner at Butches and Tokyo Joes at Montego Bay as well as the Sunday Brunch over there were also big hits. Can’t recommend Sandals enough!

"Amazing stay"

This was an excellent choice! The stay was very relaxing! The service was 20/10! Some team members that stood out : •Terrance - beach lifeguard, the sweetest man ever and very hardworking •Shawayne, Donald, Christopher at mariner beach bar- excellent service, fun time •Shaquille- sandals lounge at airport was wonderful! •kadane and Alex butler team- we were taken of so well by these two! Very prompt and so friendly :) • Edwin- chef at mariner • Shawn - photographer These people made our stay perfect and many more team members, we would recommend this resort for a true Caribbean feel with superior service. Bombay and royal Thai were delicious dinners!
