Campanile Hotel Glasgow - SECC

I had a great nights sleep, bed was comfortable. The room had everything I needed. Breakfast was ok. Could do with a plate warmer as my breakfast did go cold on cold plates. The hotel was a little dated but with the comfort, I would go back

Only stayed one night restaurant was closed only open for breakfast which was certainly nothing like the picture displayed the Lorne sausage was pink and looked like it had been blanched and not cooked. The room was basic but was clean and did have tea/coffee no milk though bed was comfortable..no remote for the tv even though we asked for one. Parking in the hotel was included which was good as it was close to where we were going.. would probably stay again but skip The breakfast

Disappointed that no food available as they had gas leek but i should have been notified this i feel by email breakfast was poor fir the price they charge room was clean

For the price and with the location I expected better quality. The cheapest toilet roll, and a toilet that felt and sounded like it was coming away from the wall every time I used it. No handtowel. The duvet cover was ripped along the top seam. The sheet didn’t even fit on the mattress and it was a bare mattress under the sheet. No plug sockets on the bed side of the room.

Hotel which was basic in presentation and service. Breakfast not organised by 7.30am even though dining room was opened at 7am

I’m not going to bash the hotel so much because it wasn’t all bad because checking in was nice and easy and they were polite again when checking out and the bed was comfortable. However, what I do not expect when arriving back to my hotel after an evening out is to find the doors locked and no way to get in. No one sitting on reception to let us in either. We tried using out key card to activate the door, were banging on the door, we were rattling the doors, I tried prizing the doors open, we were calling the hotel phone number numerous times - nothing. No movement, no response. I then had to call my colleague who was sleeping in the hotel after around 25 minutes to come down and let us in. He couldn’t work out how to open the doors either. He popped his head into the office and there was the nightshift who eventually came out, opened the door and didn’t even apologise or anything - just telling me I should have called the number - I did and I have proof, if he wasn’t sleeping he would maybe have heard it. There was quite a few choice words exchanged and he was incredibly rude. If I didn’t have a colleague sleeping already in the hotel, myself and 2 other female work colleagues would have been locked out all night.

The hotel is very tired and the staff were too busy arguing with each other to serve at the bar. The restaurant was closed due to an extractor fan issue. There was no draught beer or soft drinks available because of a gas issue. So it wasn't the best stay. Our room was very dirty and the toilet wall paint was all blistered and peeling. Do not stay in room 209

Checked in went to allocated room opened door two people already in the room , Got another room after returning from dinner i returned to tmy room to find the lights on someone had befn in my room, A colleague in a different room didnt have any towels nor toilet tissue. Not a great stay

Great location for Hydro concert. Friendly staff. Clean & safe with free parking along with restaurant/bar facilities.
