Hotel Palacio de Santa Paula, Autograph Collection

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palacio De Santa Paula, Autograph Collection, located on Gran Vía de Colón in Granada. The hotel is not only beautiful but full of character, housed in a former monastery that has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its historic charm while offering modern comfort. The location couldn’t be better. It’s right in the city center, within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, the main commercial areas, countless restaurants, and local shops. It served as the perfect base for exploring the heart of Granada on foot. Our room was comfortable and quiet, with everything we needed for a restful stay. The staff provided warm, attentive service from start to finish, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our time there.

Hotel Palacio Santa Paula is a very nice hotel in a beautiful historic building with a great location in the old town, not far from the cathedral. Our only complaint is that the bathroom did not have a solid door, but rather a latticework door that let the light, sights, sounds, and smells of the bathroom into the rest of the room, which seems like obviously a bad idea.

Very centrally located hotel in Granada. The staff was exceptional and always willing to help with any need (taxis, dinner recommendations, etc). The bar was fantastic with the best Sangria we had in all of our Spanish travel. Breakfast was outstanding with a great central courtyard (shaded). This was a rather expensive property relative to other properties that we visited on this multi-city trip but the staff went above and beyond. Although it was located on a busy street, the room was very quiet.

We arrived into a very loud wedding event - the ‘cocktail tail’ bar boasted in reviews was non functional and the few staff were clearly overwhelmed with wedding that other guests and service was poor - I have mentioned all of this to Marriott who have not yet responded-

An incredible hotel, with architecture and history that are part of Granada in this emblematic place. Many things stand out, such as the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the tranquility of many of its spaces. An interesting venue for events, where you can enjoy the contemporary art exhibition about the knights Templars in the Sala el Coro, featuring works by numerous national and international artists.
