Castle at Makahuena at Poipu

It was super dated and run down. Staff was nice and was good to have the space, it just was so so. Bathroom smelled like mold

It had 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, laundry room and ocean view. Easy parking. Would of liked a place closer to a sandy beach. The unit was a little out dated. The Wifi was changed during our stay so it took 3 days of calls to get it fixed! Lanai screen stuck, no key for safe, lock box key was not ready for us to enter, luckily we got there befor the office was closed to let us in. Overall had a great time.

This unit needs to be checked by your staff! There was a broken ice maker, broken wine corkscrew, very very old kitchen and baths, with no hot water after 7 PM. We would suggest that your people get a look before you rent it again. Only the views and sunset helped to salvage our much anticipated vacation. We have every confidence that you will take this property off you list or insist that the owners bring it up to normal expectations. We are not complainers, but your future Clients should know to shop elsewhere!!

Great property almost directly on the Pacific. Great location in Poi'pu with easy access the all parts of the island. A few maintenance items needed to be attended to on the inside but they did not detract from the beauty of the location. Excellent natural ventilation and is cool at night so you really don't need air conditioning. Good access to multiple great restaurants. Would recommend to anyone and will rent again on next trip to Kauai.

The front office was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen provided most of the amenities we needed for cooking purposes and appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks.

Definitely a great location with a breeze in condo 4303. The place needs a little more updating but who stays in their condo all day long while visiting Kauai? New wood floor laminate was put in recently - so the owners are aware of the unit's needs. We didn't lack for a thing while staying there - it's all about location, location, location

Beautiful, clean and we'll stocked condo with an unbelievable Lanai overlooking the ocean. Watch turtles swimming from your deck!

We booked this hotel since we were attending a wedding at the Marriott in Poipu just down the road. A few other friends also booked rooms in this hotel so we were able to see the different room set ups and furnishings available. Each room is furnished different and therefore can appear older or newer than others. Overall the hotel was ok. Conveniently located and good amenities. However, we were visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday and their offices were closed not to mention their office is located at a different hotel down the street. We couldn't find the parking pass that was suppose to be left in our rooms and there was no one available to help us. Also, they charge a separate cleaning fee depending on you book the rooms so pay attention to that as you book your room and compare rates. Overall, I may consider staying here again if I visited Poipu again and just needed a comfortable and nice place to stay while site seeing most of the day.

Good location, beautiful view. No AC and had to keep all windows open with fans running making it very noisy at night. Walking distance to Poipu and Shipwreck beach. Unfortunately they were working on the roof several days and roofing material drifted down onto lanai making it unusable for breakfast and lunch.

The rooms and view are nice. My biggest issue is that there wasn't any A/C in the unit. It's also not advertised as such. During the day this isn't a big issue. But it much needed at night. Especially for the back rooms that don't get a strong breeze. If you have problems with stairs this place isn't for you. It was OK, but would not stay here again.
