Hotel Campanile Leicester

Not the best of areas to stay with your family .

Friendly staff, good value for money, convenient, nice food

We got booked 2 rooms when we booked one room but the staff sorted it out in a honourable manner, when we went to our room. It was tidy, neat and looked decent with cafe supplements such as coffee, sugar and tea to get drinks. The amount of power sockets was limited so charging phones was hard with being 2 people. But we managed. Overall good stay, may rebook one day.

The hotel, with the exception of the rooms, is fine. The lobby bar, the dining area, the food, all good. But the rooms are deplorable, dirty, smelly, the bathroom smells reminiscent of a bus station bathroom. Not so much as a box of tissues in the rooms. It’s hard to understand.

Bed was terrible, really uncomfortable with springs digging into back additionally mattress was really soft and squeaked every time you moved leading to a restless night

Room was very warm even at night. Window open during the day, but due to proximity to the road couldn't leave window open all night due to traffic noise. Poor mobile reception too.

Hotel needed a good clean. Sink in toilet hand a hole in it. Window handle was broken. Need some TLC.

The receptionist on day one was unfriendly but day two was really helpful. There was no water on day 1 for sometime. Kettle was in very unhygienic condition

Nice hotel close to the train station. Parking is available on site and there is a good restaurant.

Location good. Bit shabby but not bad for the price
