Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, BW Signature Collection

We sadly only stayed for one night but we were upgraded to an amazing sea view room. Beautiful views, clean well decorated room and bathroom. The staff were all really polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good. We would definitely stay again

We had such an enjoyable time at the Carlton. With strong family memories, we planned a special meal here, and it didn’t disappoint. The team were so welcoming and warm: nothing was too much trouble.

Our trip to the Carlton Hotel last weekend in the glorious sunshine was superb. Seven of us stayed there to celebrate a family 70th Birthday. Staff at the Carlton were first class - The kind, helpful Manager Eliseu and the lovely receptionist Noelia assisted with our bookings, they welcomed us and ensured we were well looked after during our 3 night stay. Karl, Amelia & team ensured our table in the restaurant was beautifully decorated to aide our celebrations and nothing was too much trouble for them in taking care of us. The food and wine was most enjoyable and we had lots of fun celebrating. It was such a joy to spend time sitting out on the Hotel balcony, enjoying a drink, appreciating the view and gardens, in the beautiful sunshine. A Birthday treat to be remembered. Many thanks to everyone who made it so wonderful for us. Also, it was great to be introduced to Robert, the Hotel Cluster Manager so to be given the opportunity to compliment the staff and to appreciate the Hotel improvements which were apparent. We will definitely return.

Two night break mid-week. Although the hotel is in need of some TLC, it is welcoming but extremely warm! The staff were lovely and very friendly. We had a meal on our first night which was delicious. A little disappointed with the ‘hot’ breakfast- the heat lamps kept the food warm but bacon was dry and sausages a little tasteless. It is serve yourself which is fine, but in my opinion the hot food would be nicer if served to order. Complimentary water in the room would have been nice. Beware the parking is £20 per 24 hours! Guests should be given free parking whilst staying at the hotel in my opinion.

As I'm in between cancer treatments we had a 2 night break away at our favourite hotel. A huge thank you to the reception in granting us the room we had requested a room with a wonderful sea view, the thought being that even if I wasn't well enough to go out I could till admire the view. your kindness is much appreciated. Thanks also to the maintenance and housekeeping teams who rarely get a mention in reviews, our room was well maintained and very clean. Thank you to the kitchen, bar and restaurant teams, the meals we had were, as always, delicious and well served by Kar an his team. It was a joy to be back in the hotel again where we are always treated like family by the kind and caring staff. We look forward to our next visit in the new year.

Great clean hotel. Came for the spa and loved the atmosphere and the staff. Brilliant vibe. Would recommend. I will come back again

The Bournemouth Carlton Hotel failed to reach an acceptable standard. Our quite expensive 'Executive Sea View Double' room was lacking a safe and a fridge and the television reception was very poor. Despite the fact that we had checked in prior to arrival, reception insisted that we wait from 13:00-15:30 before they would give us the keys to enter our room. This was despite the fact that room service had finished prepping our room earlier. Breakfast was not a comprehensive service with no whole fresh fruit, smoked salmon or avocado available. Despite this being our second visit in just over 12 months, we are unlikely to return.

Located on the east cliff with a lovely view. The main facilities were very good but our first suite was in poor condition (chipped bath tub, cracked sink, loud fan) and very bland in terms of decor. Second suite was in better condition. Service was excellent.

This is a lovely old hotel with well maintained lobby, lounges, restaurant, bar, and grounds. Unfortunately, our first suite was very "tired" with a chipped bathtub, chipped walls, peeling wall paper and very uninspiring, austere decor for a British hotel - i.e. one kleenex box and some prints on the walls. Our second suite was better maintained but was missing items like a luggage rack, drinking glasses, full length mirror.... In both suites we had to hunt in the cupboard for a second set of towels and pillows. I understand that they're trying to be more ecologically green but they've gone a bit too far. Service was excellent all around and the restaurant was very good also. It's located on the east cliff with a lovely view. Gardens and pool must be very pretty in the summer.
