Ocean Beach Hotel and SPA Bournemouth - OCEANA COLLECTION

The Measus Micaela was good,welcoming and a good listener. The hotel meals was good but I don’t understand why the outdoor swimming pool wasnt been used atall. And the indoor one was so cold I was shaking had to use the suana .I enjoyed my stay at the hotel though. Staff was so nice .

I visited the Spa for a massage, as you walk in, the subtle lighting and music set the ambience and you immediately feel a sense of calmness. Micaela was the lovely young lady who gave me my absolutely, wonderful neck, shoulder’s and back massage. I highly recommend a visit or two, to this Spa.

It was a good stay but parking is tight

Visited the spa as a last minute thing … the ladies were very welcoming and managed to squeeze us in … thanks ladies.. Micaela did both treatments head and shoulders for me and a indian head massage for my partner She was excellent at both and would defo go back

Staff were very polite & helpful, however, ordered ham & cheese toastie waited 45 minutes, which then arrived stone cold. Asked for it to be reheated came back lukewarm. Then went to sister hotel next door food was disgusting overcooked & looked like oil hadn’t been changed in months assuming this due to colour of chicken. Room was clean but extremely hot.

Looks nice from the outside with a great view but that is where the good points end. - Room was not the cleanest, tea stains running down the was in the children's bedroom, dried faeces on the outside of the toilet bowl and broken tiles in the bathroom with sharp edges. - Had issues with hot water. Couldn't turn it down, it would scold a child, and after 5 minutes of the Receptionist experiencing the same problem before being able to turn the temperature down implied that we were not turning the tap properly instead of acknowledging there was a clear issue with the tap. - Shower head hold kept sliding down the riser when it was in use with very low pressure that it was barely usable. - Fireworks were let off from the bar terrace at 1 am, right underneath our window. We were not informed that this would be happening when checking in. - Service in the Italian cafe was shocking. Waited over 20 mins to be seated when then it was empty. Plus the food was all covered in grease and was horrible. - The breakfast was cold and most of the trays on the hot counter were empty and were never seen to be refilled (waited 15 mins). This was 20 minutes after the restaurant opened for breakfast. The above points were raised with staff members. But they did not seem to care or were bothered. For the price they charge it was awful. Travelodge would have been better. I could not possibly recommend this place.

Very old and poorly maintained hotel, does not deserve the money you paid. No parking are in hotel and they charge extra. Would not recommend

Clearly had a significantly better experience than some reviewers but found this place lovely . I would definitely go back. Staff - all friendly and helpful from the moment we walked through the door. Facilities- used the outdoor pool, indoor pool next door both good and had 2 spa treatments ( the 2 woman were lovely and competent ) Food - we had breakfast and dinner . Breakfast had a decent variety of options. Dinner we chose ahead from a menu and the food we got was delicious . Room - had been done up recently. Our only issue was trying to get it cool enough. We were there in heat but wide open windows and 2 fans didn’t achieve a reasonable temperature. Location - a level 15-20 min walk from the station and about 20 mins down to the pier , the beach was nearer . This was a good location for us Thank you to all who contributed to our lovely stay

Staff was friendly but hotel needs re done out badly

Location was best next to beach walk distance 10 min even center was closentoo.Hotel.cleaning was great faculity pool sauna good. SERVICE VERY POOR FOOD WISE NOTHING QUALITY FOOD VERY BAD.Check in need staff more traning and attitude bit improved
