The Franklin on Rittenhouse, A Boutique Hotel

I stayed at The Franklin on Rittenhouse during the Christmas holiday and really enjoyed it. The location was perfect and beautifully decorated for the season. The hotel felt cozy, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and inviting. Complimentary coffee and a light breakfast were a nice touch. Highly recommended

Great stay! We’ll be back! Everyone was kind and welcoming and we really like the bar downstairs. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The room was spacious and clean. The location's proximity to Rittenhouse was great, we were able to explore the area on foot. And the lobby dog was adorable.

The room was directly under a staircase (no elevator at the hotel) and we were woken several times in the night by guests stomping up and down the stairs. Also, the room was at street level so that was an extra layer of noise. The hotel bar was not accessible through the hotel, you had to exit the front door, walk several doors over, and then enter the bar which was truly inconvenient. There was no minibar in the room, and none of the clocks were set to the right time. For the price, this did not meet my expectations in any way.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast which was included was fine.

My room was right next to the elevator which meant a lot of noise. The carpet in the room was stained. The lighting was abysmal and I was glad that I had brought my Kindle because the reading sconces were too weak.

What a charming bouquet hotel with gracious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious free breakfast too! Location is central to all.

Not really a boutique hotel. The room was small, and not nearly as nice as we expected from their description. Only one chair, and only a hanging cupboard. All rather drab. The staff were a mixed bunch - some very friendly, some completely uninterested. Breakfast was superb for such a small hotel - limited selection, but fresh and appetising, nicely presented, and pleasant service.

Good location

The staff went above and beyond when I needed assistance, incredible people. The street it’s on isn’t one of the main streets so it was pretty quiet. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed, even plenty of shelf space in the large shower! Will stay here again.

Discovered this gem for a weekend trip to celebrate my niece's 30th bday. Yes, it's convenient to everything BUT it's the people of The Franklin on Rittenhouse that made our stay complete. From Paige (with furry sidekick and official greeter Addison who we owe a pup cup) to Dasha and Tracey, these concierges welcomed us each morning and evening with smiles, remembering details shared about our trip, and, when I was not feeling well, even offered to check on me! Upon meeting GM Doug, and members of the hotel's housekeeping and facilities teams, it became apparent that this level of service is a source of pride for all. Looking forward to returning to see all on our next visit to Center City. Thank you all for making our celebration weekend so memorable.

Stayed for 2 nights as a couple. We were given ‘The Jane’ room which was on the top floor. A bit disappointed as it’s described as ‘boutique’, yes each room is individual but that’s where it ends. It has so much potential but needs some updating, maintenance & finer touches. Our safe didn’t work & wasn’t fixed, no instructions for coffee maker so had to muddle through, carpet was fraying from the bathroom. The room fittings were just a bit cheap than boutique! Breakfast was adequate, but again a little basic & cheap, supermarket cakes & pastries etc Staff for the most were friendly, hotel position is good & ideal for sight seeing.
