Great hotel, good service. Price is very reasonable.

In general, the hotel was fine. Easy check-in, nice-sized room (which included a nice sitting area), comfortable bed & pillows, average free hotel breakfast, etc. I took off one star from my review because there were no blackout curtains on the windows, and the sunlight woke me up every day at 6 am. Not great when you're on vacation! The curtains they have don't do the trick. And they're not long enough, so the light seeps in underneath them. That part of my stay is the only reason why I probably wouldn't stay there again.

We were given a bit of a hard time with my service animal. They inquired what he did for a service and then stated they had every right to know this information. But to do so, divulges the disability. He was traveling with us as he is in need of specialty medical care in Portland, he has cancer. I wanted to stay an extra day and our family would take him back home to recover. I was then told I could not stay if my service animal was not with me and then suspiciously stated that he "must not really have been a service animal." I was refused a room. Incredibly rude, insulting and ugly to be treated this way.

The rooms are a good size they are clean and staff was friendly, but I was so disappointed that I had to call for a cab to take me to the airport as the only reason we stayed there was because they have airport shuttles, but apparently not early in the morning.

Amnenities were appreciated.

The location here is the best thing I can say about this hotel. It was close to and very convenient for the airport. Our room was large and the beds were comfortable. We had a quiet night's sleep. Our room was not cleaned anywhere close to the level one would expect for this chain. The front door is locked most of the time which is really inconvenient. Parking is shared with another hotel and there are numerous signs warning of break ins. I stay at hotels 30-50 nights a year. I have hundreds of hotel reviews on this site. The rude and obnoxious treatment from the person that checked us in is the worst I have ever experienced. It takes a lot to offend me, but this was offensive. I understand everyone has one of those days sometimes...perhaps this was hers. I plan to return to Portland several times in the future. I will not be staying at this hotel.
