Great location and breakfast was delicious. Room was a little noisy and they should make the windows of the suites much less susceptible to the road noise. All in all, a good 4* hotel.

"Technically not a review of the hotel"

I have stayed at The Club Hotel and Spa before and found it to be excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped, the staff always polite and professional. However my most recent stay turned out a bit differently. Unfortunately due to the previous occupant testing positive for covid, the room I had booked became unavailable the morning I was due to check in. The hotel contacted Hotels.com that morning as the hotel was otherwise fully booked and they were unable to honour the booking. They were assured hotels.com would contact me and rebook another hotel. Sadly that didn’t happen and I arrived to check in unaware of this. The staff at The Club could not have been more helpful. As I was attempting to contact hotels.com (which is virtually impossible) the general manager Tim and reservations manager Gemma were ringing round other hotels and using their contacts to find me alternative accommodation, while keeping me topped up with champagne. They then spoke with hotels.com staff and arranged for the booking to be transferred, even arranging and paying for a taxi to the alternative hotel. I cannot thank them enough. Tim, Gemma thank you, you really did save my sanity that day!
