Location , friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, nice breakfast.

The aircon had failed on the hottest day of a heatwave. The windows do not open. When we spoke to the staff they were unable to move us as full but were conciliatory. It would have been nice to have been prewarned. Also noisy extractor fan could not be turned off

Lack of prompt maintenance

Rooms were clean.

Front of house staff weren’t present. Took 2 hours to check in and then instantly got locked out of the room as the second key didn’t work. Took another hour to sort that issue out to then get into a room with no aircon during a heatwave. Took staff 2 hours to come see us and then move us into another room past midnight. Went to talk to the staff in the morning and the manager did not want to know about our stay and carried on trying to say it was not their fault. Also said we’d have a 20% refund for the aircon issue which we never received.

Not much. From check in, to the evening, to breakfast. Worst stay ever

The check in took 25 minutes. Was told it was a twin room. On entering room, it was a double. Called reception, no answer, so had to come back downstairs to ask for a twin, and was reassured that somebody would come up. Five hours later, nobody came. Went out for evening meal spoke to reception again, they confirmed on return they would address the issue by giving us another room. On return, another person on the desk was there, so I explained we needed to swap rooms and was told to come back and ask by his colleague. The reply stunned me, as he said it was our fault for not confirming when we checked in? Even though we confirmed via booking.com. the next day went down for breakfast. No AC, a big cooler which had minimal effect. Got down for 930am and half of the items were finished. Poor options available. Honestly, worst stay ever. The AC in the room didn't work. When asked to address the issue, the response was that the housekeeping staff were not available and two small fans were dropped off. With this came it's own issues as only two out of the four sockets in the room worked. As I write this, I genuinely don't know why I didn't check out last night and go elsewhere. Raddison, never again

Was very sceptical having booked this hotel and then read the reviews after, but I needn’t have worried! We were checked in bang on time by extremely polite and friendly staff. Our room was cool (bearing in mind the temp was 33 degrees outside), clean and spacious. We lucked out and also got a river view room which was a great little bonus. Would not hesitate to book again.
