Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool

Nothing good. May be I can state that they offered to upgrade to premium room and changed the room the next day but still the air condition was not good enough.

No air condition and hot water on day one. The staff offered one drink voucher for lack of facilities. There was no fitness centre

We arrived at the hotel to be informed that there was no hot water and that it was unlikely to be fixed during our stay (I have since read a report from 20th June saying there was no hot water, so it looks like they have had this issue for at least 2 days). They did say we could cancel our booking for free but by this time it was too late and we had no choice but to stay. This issue had been going on since the day before. Why did nobody contact us earlier so we could make other arrangements. When we asked this a senior member of staff came over and we found him very condescending. His only reply to our questions as to why we weren't informed earlier was "Well, what if we fixed it and you had cancelled for nothing ". It would have been nice to be able to make that decision ourselves. We were there for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and after attending a nearby concert came back to the hotel for a drink at 11:10 only to be told the bar was closed despite it being advertised as open till late. The bar was full of people with two people "working" behind the bar. Our room was quite nice but very warm with the air-conditioning not cooling us at all. The room stated at 25 degrees all night. Hence, we will not be staying with Raddison again and will definitely not be recommending them to anyone.

Lovely twin room. Great view. Nice toiletries that I wasn't expecting.

No hot water in the Hotel. We were given the option to cancel but seeing as we were standing in the actual hotel itself when we found out, we didn't think we had much choice but to stay. No discount offered for this inconvenience. Air con works well but soooo noisy. No instructions how to turn it off so had to ask a staff member to come and switch it off at 1 am.

Big comfy bed.

Room had no water in toilet and no air con. Had to be moved. The restaurant was being refurbished and we hadn't been told beforehand. We had picked the hotel because it had on site restaurant as we had friends who could not walk far.

Room was very nice. Breakfast was good

Not being able to have a bath/shower before an evening out or in the morning. On arrival, we were told there was no hot water. No apologies just asked if we wished to cancel. This was a ridiculous question as there was no possibility of finding any accommodation at such short notice. Staff did not come across as bothered or empathetic. Disappointing that a hotel of this quality couldn’t supply hot water for obvious reasons, especially on a very hot day. Staff could have been more understanding.

Ian, the receptionist, was awesome. Although they didn't have hot, he went out his way to please us. He upgraded us, which was good, and reassured us that they were working on it.

When we arrived, the receptionist(Asian guy) was on the phone for a while whilst we waited for him to finish. He never acknowledged our presence only for Ian to intervene.
