Nutshell-Airport Retreat by the Sea

The host and staff were very kind and generous. The location is very convenient with a great seaside view of the Indian ocean. Many attractions that Kerala has to offer are within a short walking distance or by car if you prefer. Users are very conveniently located and can meet directly at the guesthouse to take you where you need to go.

The hotel was a minute to the beach. We had a sea view room with balcony. Nisha, her family and all the staff were amazing. We didn’t have breakfast but there was always fresh fruit left for us.

Top floor room. Has a balcony overlooking the beach. Room was adequate for a 1 night transit Friendly staff. Nice freshly cooked breakfast

Location and cleanliness.

Breakfast was not as it was shown or said to be fabulous. It was only dosa and tea.

The positives were the proximity to the airport, free airport pick-up, WhatsApp number, spacious AC bedrooms, clean bathrooms. The seaside site and views were welcome although the beach were full of litter and not easily accessible from the immediate vicinity.

This place does not merit the 4 star review rating from our experience of staying there. The hazardous backdoor approach in the night to the upper floor through an unlit concrete steps, in spite of the presence of well lit wooden staircase from front entrance. Hazardous, because we are pensioners of average age of 70 The check-in was relegated to an immature teenaged youngster without supervision who asked me to hand over my passport. I refused and insisted the hostess, Ms. Nisha Babu make her appearance I was informed she was busy dyeing her hair by the young lad. She did appear later on to welcome us after the check in. Towels, toilet rolls and sheets were initially not provided until requested. We were disappointed to be presented with supposedly white laundry but discolored brown with deeper stains frayed and ripped. We were reluctant to use the towels. When we complained about the state of the towels the hostess unfairly blamed her willing lady helpers for the quality of the laundry but we suggested it was her responsibility to maintain standards.

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement dans ce petit établissement directement au bord de la mer à 3 minutes de l’aéroport! Tout y était. Très propre. Ils nous ont conduit à l’aéroport en pleine nuit! Une aubaine! Merci!
