Nutshell-Airport Retreat by the Sea

Location is awesome, by the beach. The waves lull you to sleep. Comfortable bed, big balcony facing the sea. Host was kind to provide dinner instead of breakfast as I leaving late night.

No one was available for check in. Messages were not returned promptly

Very clean, the owner is lovely and helpful. Perfect for a short stay if one needs to be close to the airport. I did not use the kitchen and the common living room but it is also possible to use the kitchen and there is a fabulous giant living room at disposal of the guests. The house is very well decorated.

The beach in front is not where one would like to be, but Kovalam is about 30 min by tuk tuk. However this is the right location if you need to be close to the airport

Generally clean but there is room for improvement.

Room was beautifully furnished - the owners clearly have a thing with antique furniture - and spacious, with a desk. Cosy ambience. Breakfast was cooked fresh for you each morning by a very kind cook. Different breakfast each day. Staff was so kind to drive me to the airport at 4:45 AM, without charge. A tuktuk to the city center is around 200 rupees and doesn't take too long.
