Sun City Hotel and Casino

We had a great visit at the sun city hotel from the porter collecting luggage to the kitchen staff we where greeted with a great smile, everything done to perfection. The newly renovated rooms where comfortable. we decided to order in to the room and the food was so so tasty. The staff at the pool where friendly and assisted us the second we sat down. Well done Sun city hotel you will see us soon.

We have a lovely stay at the Sun City Hotel which is centrally located on the resort and close to many amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a really good holiday.

The refurbished rooms are nice but the soundproofing of the rooms are bad. You can clearly hear people talking outside as though your room doors are open. Overall staffs do need more training, some of them just doesn't seem to be bothered especially those in concierge.

Hardly any table games at the casino. Even 3 card or Texas Holdem Poker table is also not there. Roulette is over priced with minimum 50 Rants (approx 250 INR) per chip. No fun at the casino. Dull atmosphere. Capetown grand west casino was still better. Even the palace hotel charges even for toiletries like a tooth brush. Comb was not available at the property. This has been my first experience where a five star hotel refused to provide basic toiletries to its guest. Rooms are fine and big in size. Overall over hyped property. Not worth.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Sun City Hotel (Sun & Mon) and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautifully renovated room, likely thanks to my Sun MVG status. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, making our stay very enjoyable. Although the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, the construction noise was noticeable but not disruptive. We were informed about the ongoing work beforehand, so it came as no surprise and didn’t affect our experience. The only concern I had was the escape route map behind the room door. As someone who has previously managed health and safety portfolios, I noticed the map did not align with the actual corridor layout—the escape route shown as going left is actually to the right. This is a serious safety issue that should be corrected promptly. See the attached image of the map. Other than that, a great stay overall. We didn’t book the breakfast rate, so I cannot comment on that aspect.

Was most relaxing vacation this year. Travel by bus off to where you want be from your Charles. Food was excellent at Spur. Nature beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Prises at kiosk not to bad. Surveys excellent. Was at The Palace. Courageous.

Hotel is undergoing renovations and the lift and reception area does not look great due to renovations including the parking. Passing all the rooms are very nice looking very luxury with state of the art amenities, 40 inch TV with various Apps to watch movies etc. I found DSTV to be a bid slower at times. Breakfast was nice with all the english breakfast options. Wifi speed was acceptable

We did the maze, sitting enjoying a drink at the bar with my family while looking down the metal umbrella collapsed striking me in the head. This jolted my neck and basically concussed me. Family called the manager, the manager came. I was recovering with my head in my arms with a screaming headache and very sore neck. I went to lay down on a bench. Manager took no details, asked if the paramedics should be called. My family said yes. Over an hour later and no paramedics so my wife and I left as the manager despite having a radio had no answers. Manager made no effort to get a golf cart etc. Told us to follow the path down the hill and over the swing bridge. We finally got to my car and to the Accomodation. I took pain killers and went to lay down. The manager took no details etc, it is as if they simply did not care at all.

We have always stayed at the cabanas and this time round we decided to splurge and stay at Soho. Honestly it was a pleasant stay but my expectations based on the price were not met. However I did see the phase 1 of a 3 phase renovation was under way so hopefully will be a more comfortable stay once upgraded.
