Kimpton Hotel Fontenot by IHG

I've been a fan of Kimpton hotels ever since I first tried them, and this one lived up to my enjoyment of other Kimptons. The vibe was on point as always, my room was great, and I managed to catch the manager's reception. Dinner in the restaurant was nice, and I was able to walk to the WW II Museum.

Aesthetically this was a beautiful hotel. JC from valet was awesome and went above and beyond! The peacock bar was also a hit and our server gave us a ton of local recommendations. I am not sure if I would stay here again though. We got woken up in the middle of the night with very loud drunk people (midnight timeframe) and the walls were paper thin. Also woke up to no hot water. Might be better suited for travelers without children.

Ross was the BEST. He made our trip. He’s kind, calm, and collected. When traveling with young ones to a new city it can feel stressful. He is exactly what you want as your guests first impression & point of contact. We then met Emma, who is lovely. She went above and beyond for us. Room was perfect and we loved the city view. Restaurant was 10/10, Dana? (piercings) was so fabulous, we visited twice. My husband said “best burger i have ever had” and our entire family loved your beignets the best of our trip!

We are a Kimpton family, not just because every single animal is welcomed at any Kimpton hotel, but because the staff, rooms, and amenities are always excellent. Fontenot’s location is great, and we had a lovely stay based out of this hetel while exploring New Orleans. Of note, Ross with the valet was super helpful upon our departure. We were traveling with 2 larger dogs, and he offered to call us a flat rate taxi to the airport; even calling us a larger car and checking to make sure the price wouldn’t change. We very much appreciated his proactive and friendly approach to customer service. Thanks again, as always, Kimpton!

Beautiful hotel. Great service all around (front desk/check-in, restaurant servers , and valet). Great place to stay.

We were here for three days and the service was amazing! We checked in and they told us exactly what would be covered with our card, gave us ice cold water bottles for the boil water advisory the city was having, and gave assistance whenever we had questions. Everyone was super helpful and happy to be there especially Emma who checked us out and made sure our stay was nice.

Great stay at the Fontenot - corner room on a high floor with a terrific view. Wonderful and easy location. Special mentions - Emma at the front desk was helpful at every turn and Matt in the Peacock Lounge was amazing with recommendations and service. Both were models for the hospitality we should all receive.

Had a wonderful stay as always! Well located, great atmosphere, kind staff and notably comfortable beds and linens! This time Emma at the front desk helped us and was great. Highly recommend! We’ve stayed several times and will definitely be back!
