Stoney Creek Hotel Columbia

Loved the decor. Breakfast was good.

The pool was cold on the last day.

The employee at the front desk was kind.

Two lamps in my bedroom did not work, it appeared to be dry salt with water (white stain) on bathroom floor, entry floor in bedroom was sticky, room smelled MUSTY upon first walking in, paid for late checkout and house keeping still came banging on the door at 11am unaware I had a later checkout time, and the worst was I booked a QUEEN suite with TWO QUEEN beds but the beds were a possible twin xl or full. They were tiny!

The bed was comfortable and our room was quiet.

The room looked like it had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The sheets on one of the beds looked like they had not been washed so we end d up sleeping in the other bed. I had reserved a king but upon arrival I was told that it was not available. This happened with at least two other parties that checked in at the same time. Neither ice machine was working. My husband went to the front desk twice because the tv in our room would not work. That was after trying to call the front desk numerous times. No one answered. When he went to the front desk the second time, he was told someone would be up to assist in about 3 minutes. After 30 minutes, we gave up and went to bed.

The staff

Breakfast was substandard. The lights were very dim. At least one did not work. Some of the furniture was old and beaten up. The 24 hr available coffee was cold. All available creamer had sugar in it. The place wasn’t dirty just super drab. Except the tables in the breakfast area… they were dirty. This was our third stay here… and our last.
