San Luis Creek Lodge

Best little hotel treasure in SLO. Peaceful, comfortable space. The morning pastries and coffee are so delicious! Our second time staying here and everything is so well done at this hotel.

Above and beyond the average inn. The bedding was plush, beds cozy, rooms well decorated and excellent shampoo, conditioner etc. I suggest staying in the middle building -- rooms 9, 10, 11, 12 Only one room to perhaps avoid - 17 - which is somewhat subterranean in the back building. The coffee and pastries delivered in the morning was an added plus. Maybe a less sweet muffin would be a cool alternative. Coffee superb!

The stay did not meet my expectations. The cleanliness was lacking—the floor was noticeably dirty, and my black pajamas were covered with what appeared to be white dog hair after sleeping in the bed. Additionally, the windows could not be opened, and the strong scent of cleaning products upon entering the room was unpleasant and overwhelming. The property is well branded, but unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.

Easily our favorite hotel of our SoCal trip, and one of our favorite hotels we’ve stayed in for any trip! Staff was friendly, room was super clean, no noise issues to speak of from our room in the back (couldn’t hear anyone in other rooms and no street noise either). The room aesthetics were even more lovely than the pictures show; spacious room and bathroom, very cozy fireplace, pine trees visible out our window instead of nearby buildings, and there was soft music playing on the tv when we first entered the room. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they deliver complimentary local pastries and a thermos of coffee in the mornings without even disturbing you in the room, which was both delicious and super thoughtful. We were able to walk downtown for restaurants and the farmers market. Just an excellent experience overall, no complaints here and we will definitely be back if we find ourselves in SLO again!

Nicely decorated, unexpected details (like Kombucha at check-in and coffee and pastries delivered to your door in the morning). These types of details set this hotel apart and is why I will hopefully stay here again if I find myself in San Luis Obispo. Staff is very nice too! Highly recommend!

Very homie and comfortable!

The television wasn’t working when we got there so someone from the front desk had to come and fix it for us while we were trying to rest.

The SL Creek Lodge was a nice surprise on our first trip to SLO. It is very centrally located, within easy walking distance of Cal Poly and downtown, with restaurant nearby and easy access to everything. For a small "resort fee", bicycles are available to visitors, and there is a daily treat of fresh coffee in a thermo and freshly baked pastries hanging from one's door in the morning. (these are no ordinary pastries: the first day we had a croissant and a morning bun to share; the next morning was a delicious blueberry muffin chock full of luscious berries! The rooms are very modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!!
