San Luis Creek Lodge

We have been here before and found the property to be very nice and conveniently located. However, our recent trip here will probably be our last. The room was nice. But the bathroom floor grout was crumbling and stuck to our bare feet. There was no one at the desk when we checked in. We rang a bell and waited about five minutes. The check in experience was uninspiring and we came to learn that there was no longer a breakfast served. Instead, they would hang a bag on our door in the morning containing baked goods and thermos of coffee. We each got two baked goods, a muffin and a croissant, which is redundant. No fruit, no yogurt, no granola, no juice. Very disappointing considering what we paid for the room. And the room does not have a table or two chairs to make a place to eat. Checkout was similar. No one at the desk. We just left. In our follow up email from the lodge, they asked how we liked our welcome kombucha and our departure gift. We got neither. In general, it seems as if they have given up on customer service.

Beautiful decor and room. Super comfy bed, everything was spotlessly clean, gorgeous bathroom with lovely products. Check in and parking were quick and easy and breakfast delivered to our door was an unexpected and nice surprise. The only downside was that we didn't arrive until late, which was accommodated by reception and it literally was an overnight flying visit, we would have liked longer to enjoy our stay. Would love to return.

Stayed here for Cal Poly Family Weekend on recommendations from friends are also Cal Poly parents and it was lovely! Very clean, quiet, quaint, dog-friendly boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious and light (we had a fireplace room, which was great for the chilly nights). Complimentary coffee and pastries delivered to each room every am was a wonderful perk. In-room beverage fridge and snacks for purchase also nice (note fridge isn’t big enough to hold your own food). About a 20-25 min walk to Cal Poly campus so perfect to walk to the events and not worry about parking. Nearby restaurants and brewery/distillery very walkable. Would 100% stay here again.

We had such an amazing stay at San Luis Creek Lodge! The rooms are beautiful and so spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The customer service is amazing and they bring you fresh pastries and coffee every morning which is such a special treat! They even brought us two gluten free pasties upon request. We had to move rooms due to a maintenance issue and they gave us a bottle of champagne. Will definitely stay here again if we are back in SLO!

It was cute. The coffee and pastry delivered each morning was a nice touch.

The floors were really dirty and for the price you pay, I’d expect cleaner facilities.

Feel of a good AirBnb with hotel convenience. Rooms have a stylish, modern appearance with comfortable beds and are very clean.Car park isn’t huge but fine provided there aren’t too many guests who think they need a truck the size of a boat. Nice touch of fresh pastries and coffee delivered to your door every day. Generally there is a relaxing, laid back feel. This hotel is at the high end of the price range but you feel like it’s worth it vs all the other $400+ places in SLO that are just over priced and chain owned.
