San Luis Creek Lodge

Nice place and staff. As Hyatt Globalist we received an upgrade to a second floor room with fireplace, which we didn’t use. Clean, well planned room with double sink bathroom and shower. Shuttered allowed some parking lot lighting. A bag of thermos coffee and pastries arrive on door handle about 7:30 each morning. Easy walk downtown and restaurant next door.

It had special touches such as the morning coffee and croissant delivery to the room, which was remodeled with attention to details.

A very charming place with thoughtful amenities and personalized attention that made our stay feel warm and comfortable.

Great room, friendly staff and lots of little presents!! Loved the stay overall, the location was good and the room size was great.

The hotel is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with lovely small details, but unfortunately our stay was ruined by the noise. Our room faced the parking lot, and it was nonstop: cars coming and going, people talking and laughing, garbage bins being dragged around. We barely slept. I realized the problem immediately upon entering and called the front desk to ask about switching to a quieter room. The receptionist flatly said “no,” with no apology, no effort to help, and added that they had no rooms “at the same rate.” She wasn’t pleasant at check-in either, making it feel like we were inconveniencing her. It’s a real shame, because the experience could have been excellent if someone had even tried to resolve the issue—like offering an upgrade. The hotel looked half empty (most windows were dark), so it didn’t feel like there weren’t options. Already frustrated, I started noticing other negatives: a dirty bathroom door (scuffed, stained, and clearly neglected), zero soundproofing (we could hear every step in the hallway and every noise from the parking lot as if we were outside), and even the 7:30 a.m. coffee and pastries delivery woke us after a sleepless night. :(

We visited 29 Sep to 01 Oct. Easy check in. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet. We had a valley view room -Room 19. Inn location was great - easy walk into the historic district - circa 1.2 miles.The morning pastry delivery is a nice touch. Would suggest adding some fruit to the delivery - ie; apple. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Very reasonably priced compared to similar accomodations in Solvang.

Cozy room in a quaint boutique property. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds. A bottle of sparkling wine with a handwritten note was a nice gift upon arrival.

Loved the bohemian luxury vibe of the San Luis Creek lodge. Beautiful large bathrooms and considerate touches like a tea kettle in the room, thermos of coffee left for each guest room in the morning with warm pastries, and bicycles available to go downtown, thought it is close enough to walk. Loved this stay.
