Newbury Guest House

Newbury Guest House is a place we will definitely be returning to. Its quaintness and wonderful, friendly staff will have you returning too! We absolutely loved the area. Newbury Street has many restaurants to choose from as well as places to shop. You need to experience this area for yourself!

Newbury Guest House is in one of Newbury Street’s historic brownstones a short walk from the T. It sits above a lovely French restaurant with outdoor seating, which adds to the vibe. We enjoyed the Sunday afternoon scene of lots of people enjoying the many shops and vibrant outdoor dining spots. We were rushing to the symphony so happy to have paid for early check in with the cordial gentleman at the desk, and get a quick look at the lovely front room overlooking the street. Our room was modern and comfortable also overlooking the street. It’s a quick walk to many fantastic restaurants, a charming breakfast spot right next door, and T and Uber easy to get anywhere else. We also especially appreciated being able to leave our bags there while we went to the MFA. We got an affordable rate at the end of April so plan to come back in that off season time. All in all we were really happy with Newbury Guest House!

We love this place!! It's our go to when we travel to Boston. The rooms are comfortable and esthetically pleasing. The staff is excellent!!

This was my second stay at the Newbury Guest House and we will always choose here if there is availability. Clean rooms and very nice! Beds are super comfortable and it's fairly quiet for Newbury St. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about Boston.

Great property. Ideal location right on Newbury Street. It’s not the Four seasons or major chain, so don’t expect those type of hotel amenities. But this property has amazing staff hospitality, comfortable rooms, 24/7 free coffee area, and best location to subways and buses and major tourist sites. Lots of boba shops, vintage shops, restaurants, cute shopping (both expensive and moderate), trendy street. Great college visit base!

Newbury Guest House is perfectly situated to so many restaurants and shops, and is within walking distance to Boston Commons and Beacon Hill. Mark and Eli were exceptional at the front desk!

The Best Guesthouse! Perfection! avr. 2026 • En famille Lovely guesthouse perfectly situated in the heart of the shopping street. Front desk was professional and welcoming. The room and bathroom were of good size. The mattress was especially comfortable. No breakfast but coffee and tea were included and in free service all day in the lobby. Possibility to park (for a fee), very convenient. The little extra: 10% discount at the good restaurant « La Voile » at the hotel's basement. I will come back!
