Colonial Motel and Spa

Good rom, good location. On the weekend a hot breakfast. There is also a spa style pool house.

Setup is different. Pool, dining and Spa not connected to hotel. Its like a neighborhood instead. Rooms clean. Women in front office are all extremely nice. Would definitely go back.

It was perfect for our family of 4. The beds are ok, BUT room was very large! Our units AC worked well! The grocery store was right across the street. Breakfast was good. This does fall in the Motel status and NOT high class yes could use updating but it was perfect for our needs! Madam Sherri's Forest is just a few mins away!

We didn’t even make it through the night. Going in the door was jammed and hard to open. Once we got it open the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. The rooms were not kept clean and the room was in need of repair, cracks and holes in the plaster, unfinished paint, the smell in the stairways reminded us of a barn. We tried going to the pool and were limited to one pool with 3 lanes due to having a child with us. There was no splashing or playing in the pool allowed and the staff wouldn’t let us remain near the edge of the pool because the ‘deck’ had many chips and breaks in the brick that were a safety hazard.

The rugs and furniture need to be updated....dirty hallways

I did a quick solo trip to see Dragged into Sunlight at the Stone Church. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the other guests were entertaining. 10/10.

Toilet seat was broke so it made it difficult to do your business without some difficulty, asked front desk about laundry facility and was told we had to go into town( miles away) and come to find out a day later there is a laundry facilities on premises 50 yrds from our room!

This place should be avoided unless all other options have been exhausted. My initial rate quote directly from the motel was about $200 per night. Through Booking.com I reserved 2 rooms at $141 each. Upon arrival no one was in the office but eventually someone showed up in sweat pants and a t-shirt. The 2 assigned rooms reeked of cigarette smoke but we were wet and tired from riding our motorcycles in the rain all day. As I attempted to use the toilet the entire seat fell off onto the floor. No one is available to fix it, of course. Upon flushing another piece of hardware flew off the sink! I then noticed that the air purification machine that had been discreetly working away under the desk had been removed while we were out to dinner. Ultimate it was blamed on "housekeeping". Pretty bold to blame housekeeping when it actually looks like they have never been here, ever. I will say the sheets look clean and for that I'm grateful. The overall condition of this place is well suited for putting up the homeless but for those of us who pay our own bills this should be avoided.

When we walked in to the front office it smelled musty and very strong of cigarettes. When we went to find our room the people outside made us feel very unsafe, there were just standing and staring at us. If you were alone I definitely wouldn't stay here!! We were on the second floor and the balcony has soft wood and felt very unsafe to walk on. Windows to the stairs leading up had been smashed and not replaced, there were holes drilled into walls and not taken care of. Pillow cases were dirty, bed was extremely hard, room smells, the liner between the sheet and bed was full of hair, there were stains on the chairs, the list goes on. Really too much to write. One of our party came back to their door open to their room and no one from the front desk to anyone else we saw there gave a crap. They were pretty much like "Oh well! We will tell maintenance." Don't stay here!

We had a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. They were going to move us to another room, which was even worse. The property seems dated rundown and needed some attention to amenities. Our shower filled up with water when being used it did not drain properly.
