Champneys Springs

From the moment of arrival we were welcomed by the team. At the risk of overlooking anyone- for which I apologise- Anais and Sarah were amazing in every aspect of the Spa Treatments. Pete and Millie at front of house and Catarina in the restaurant - unfortunately we cannot remember the guy from maintenance who came to resolve check out issues! A team loving their jobs. There are aspects of the fabric that need attention and investment but for a relaxing Spa treat it was perfect.

We have had a great stay, facilities were amazing. Spa fantastic. We were made to feel like royalty by Catrina and Massimo in the restaurant who couldn’t do enough to ensure we were looked after. Lovely genuine people

When we checked in there was only 1 person on reception, a big queue had formed. We checked in, was asked what time we wanted evening meal. Only option was 6pm or 8.45pm as they were very busy. Basically they had a corporate thing going on and so were too busy to accommodate the usual paying guests. I've never experienced this at henlow. Despite checking with reception on check in whether we had the double room (other members of our party required the twin room) we got to room to find it a twin. Went back downstairs to the busy, no person reception. It was rectified but only after a fiasco. The rooms are large are nice for a superior room. We had to ask for water as none had been left kn our room. This was delivered to us fairly promptly but was very warm! My mother in law had the extra eye mask with her treatment but never got informed that carried a surcharge. The treatments were all lovely and therapists very nice. Despite going through several meal time bookings at reception when we arrived, none of these had been transferred to restaurant even though we had received sms confirmation. The staff on the second night in the restaurant were more interested in those guests purchasing drinks than they were on taking our orders. Front of house staff were always very good. Check out of room is 11am and at 10.15 am one of our rooms was already being cleaned! Reception gave us a voucher for drink and cake. Unfortunately the bar/cafe staff were very rude and didn't engage at all. All in all it was not a very good example of champneys. Springs is certainly a corporate based resort and focuses on this more than its nightly paying guests. Such a shame as I have been to another champneys and it was a great, positive experience

Depsite today being the last Sunday of the Easter Holiday and the resort being very busy, I felt like I had space to relax and from check in to departure, every element of my stay was catered for. I would like to say a special thank you to the lady who served me in the restaurant, Jana. Efficient, friendly and balanced with enough space to truly enjoy my meal. Love the new relaxing beds and egg chairs, a comfortable, welcome addition. Can’t wait to visit again.

Excellent. Faultless . I have been many times before and for a special birthday 5 friends came along who have never been before . It far exceeded all there expectations. Very well trained staff in all areas .Food is exceptionally good fresh and well presented. Staff provide excellent service . Room very clean and domestic staff do a very good job . Great pool area and thalassotherapy pool is a hidden gem .

Me and my partner had a truly fantastic stay at Champneys Springs in Ashby. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch, but the dining was a real highlight—the steak starters and desserts were absolutely delicious. What made our visit truly special, however, was the incredible service we received from Katrina and Massimo. They are such lovely people (and a wonderful couple!) who genuinely went above and beyond to look after us. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality far exceeded our expectations; they made us feel incredibly well-cared for. It’s rare to find service this brilliant, and they are a credit to the Champneys team. We can’t thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!

The staff were extremely helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. We had a last minute booking but I was really glad they were able to fit me in for a massage which was not cheap but it amazing and left me feeling revitalised and relaxed. The dinner was lovely and healthy buffet breakfast very nice.

It took 30 mins to check in because their receprion systems were down, then the booking system for booking a massage and buying products from the stores were going slow too. The corridor to the rooms needed hoovering and we asked for a bottle of still water for the room but it never came.

Had lovely overnight stay with my goddaughter. Clean modern bedroom, great classes w friendly personal trainers, delicious food. At dinner Catrina & Massimo welcomed us and were super friendly, making our evening all the more special. Highly recommend a visit.
