Mitre Hotel Manchester City Centre

Staff were very nice & very welcoming. Great location. Room was a good size - we were upgraded to a family suite. Shower was very powerful & had hot water. Beds were very comfy. Lots of tea & coffee in room, and there was a fan.

The room needs a deep clean & a renovation. It’s very grubby & worn, especially the bathroom. Room was on the top floor up very steep steps. Was quite noisy outside & we stayed on a Tuesday, so I imagine it’s crazy of a weekend

I was actually asked if wanted to switch to the sister hotel the Black Lion because of an electrical problem at the Mitre - I love the Lion so I did.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel was pristine clean and had everything you could possibly need and more. The bath was an absolute highlight, having both a beautiful bath and shower felt like such a treat and I felt completely spoilt. The room was comfortable, well equipped, fantastic value for money, and the location was perfect for being central to everything. I couldn’t have asked for more and would definitely recommend staying here. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Basic but great value for money and location

Location.

While the location is excellent and the surrounding area is beautiful, charming, and very cozy, there were several issues that affected our stay. There was no warning sign about the very steep step between the first and second floors. If you are not aware of it, you could easily injure yourself while going downstairs. I nearly fell and would have been hurt if my daughter had not caught me. This is a serious safety concern that should be addressed. It was also disappointing that the windows could not be opened. In addition, there was visible mold around the windows, which raised concerns about maintenance and ventilation. The shower handle was not functioning properly, making the shower difficult to use. On a positive note, I must admit that the room was clean. The young woman who checked us in was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, creating a very good first impression. Unfortunately, the experience at check-out was quite different. The staff seemed more interested in talking among themselves than paying attention to guests, which felt unprofessional and disappointing. Overall, the beautiful surroundings and excellent location were the highlights of our stay.

Absolutely fantastic location, so central - close to Arndale shopping centre and the main drag of the city, less than a minute walk to the metrolink so great for travelling out of the centre too. Provides a fan which was perfect for the warmer weather we’re having. Overall quite a nice modern look with furniture/feature wall etc. Beds and bathroom was clean.

There was a fairly big crack in one window which could probably do with being fixed but felt secure enough since we weren’t on the ground floor. Could probably do with just being tidied up around the edges. The throw blankets at the ends of the bed definitely need a wash with a few dirty spots, but can be easily ignored if just removed from the beds.

Always stay here when we come to manchester. Staff are professional and friendly, can't do enough for you. Location is perfect for us. Lovely views of the cathedral from spotlessly clean room. Very well priced.
