Residence Inn Rochester Mayo Clinic Area

Calvin was incredibly helpful in getting our luggage. He came to our room and both loaded and unloaded the cart for us! It was 4 am and he was so very pleasant. He offered for us to not worry about bringing the cart inside. I would definitely pick up the phone and reserve this service.

Great location for patients that are being treated at the Mayo Clinic, along with their friends and families. The staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel is connected by the subway to all of the clinic buildings which makes everything very convenient.

we love this hotel and have been coming back for years, ashley m and ashley a have always been great. The subway entrance is useful to get to my doctor appointments and when having surgery. breakfast menu is pretty good and is on rotation, rooms are clean, spacious, and nice.

Over the years have stayed here a few times. The hotel is well reviewed and much of the comments ring true. #2 in Rochester is the rating. This review is based on 2025 and to warn potential guests of the major construction right adjacent to the hotel with pile driving starting at 730am daily. Also the hotel itself is under renovation although that might be done by the time you arrive. If convenient covered parking is a priority the parking garage right on site is always full and now the outside lot is a bit further away. Might be a bit difficult depending on mobility issues etc. especially in winter months. Apart from those issues stay was fine and especially helpful was Zach the building maintenance supervisor. He addressed some plumbing issues and was very friendly. The breakfast is a nice plus not offered in too many places these days. Location is convenient to hospital and Mayo. Not sure if they provide a shuttle if that is important to you. This area of Rochester for the next years will be a construction zone so be prepared for that. At the end of all this expansion this hotel will really be a premium location in the middle of Mayo Complex. The hotel seems to have many many repeat guests and they know all of this but just in case you are not a regular I wanted to warn about the area's construction and noise issues. If you are gone all day probably not a big deal.

We have a health issue that required us to switch rooms as soon as we arrived. Dan was able to accommodate our needs immediately and made our first night’s stay far more comfortable. Late the next day we found out that we had to stay in town for another night. Andrew and April were, again, able to accommodate us at late notice in a room that met our needs. The rooms have just been renovated so it’s like staying in a new house. And Cheryl serves a great, varied breakfast every morning. We’ve tried other hotels in Rochester, but we’ve made the decision to stay here every trip now.

The staff was nice. Big room

No hot water. The door knob was so hard to open my mom couldn't get into the room by herself. Tiny garbage cans in room so we had trash everywhere and there was loud banging construction going on which would of been fine if we were told, but we weren't.

Had a working kitchen

The unannounced internal construction on both steps and the horrible smell throughout the hallways and especially the elevator
