"Not great"

2.0

We have stayed at Zilara and Secrets in Punta Cana and had a wonderful time but Ziva Los Cabos was not nearly as good. The staff at the bars and restaurants were wonderful but the front desk staff were not at all oriented to customer service needs and refused to help With reasonable requests. The entertainment was way below the caliber in Puna Cana and the food was ok not great. You can’t get a seat by the pool or beach because people set their towels out in the morning and then leave. You can’t swim in the ocean because the surf is too rough. Gym was excellent though.

"halal is possible but expensive"

10.0

If you are a muslim traveler, there are halal options but these are expensive. Email to sjdif-guest.service@hyatt.com to confirm and ask to be put in touch with David, the manager, who may be able to give you a deal and something mor reasonable. The nominal price they charge for halal is $70 USD for beef and $50 for chicken, PER DISH, which is outrageous. I think $25-$35 per PERSON per meal is more reasonable but only teh manager can authorize this. Of course this only applies to dinner at the sit down restaurants.

"This is a must experience if going to Cabo"

10.0

We chose the hotel for the food and a nice ocean view room. We were not disappointed at all. Our room overlooked the main pool and the ocean. The beds were super comfortable. The food was the best we have eaten at for any all inclusive. The Indian restaurant was so cute with their decorations and animal figures. The food was not only delicious but also fun. The waiter was supper attentive. My wife and I walked downtown and it was about a 20 minute walk to the center of town were we visited a 300+ year old Catholic Church and found so many pretty places to take pictures. We also purchased an ice cream at Dairy Queen. Walking to the city center is safe and fun. If you want a massage there are plenty of $40 message places and shops along the walk. You reach the center when you see the church.

"Excellent Stay Overall, But One Disturbing Incident"

4.0

Our check-in experience with World of Hyatt was excellent. The staff was welcoming and efficient, making the arrival process smooth and pleasant. The food offerings were also very good, with a wide variety of selections that catered to different tastes. Additionally, the location was extremely convenient, with a supermarket located directly across the street, which made it easy to pick up essentials during our stay. However, one incident significantly impacted our overall experience. One evening, while walking back to our room, we encountered a large cockroach outside Room 2312. This was quite disturbing and made us feel uncomfortable. We immediately informed the Front Desk so they could address the issue. Overall, while there were many positive aspects to our stay, this incident unfortunately affected our comfort and impression of the hotel.

"Beautiful tranquil resort"

10.0

Beautiful location within walking distance of downtown San Jose. Private and full of FRIENDLY and HELPFUL staff. The food exceeded expectations of an all inclusive. Drinks were plentiful, but also wasnt a bunch of out of control drunks. Special events were really cool, enjoyed a super bowl party, amazing drone show, mariachi bands, bull riding, local vendors with unique crafts, plenty of whale watching from the beach,/pool and more. Plenty of umbrellas, which i enjoyed as i burn easily but want to be outdoors. Wish we could have stayed longer. The Zen Spa was also top notch, our massages were awesome and theres a whole spa experience included. The GYM is amazing, full of tons of equipment, several classes, rooftop tennis and basketball. Didn't travel with kids, but plenty of kids activities and they also werent running around unattended..

"Cabo Family of 4 vacation"

10.0

Our family of four (2 kids aged 8 and 6) enjoyed 6 nights here in Feb. The hotel was very family friendly, dining experiences did not dissappoint, and the daily and evening activities were a great way to fill the time (when not sitting around the infinity pool). Also the gym was great too!

"Loved Our Stay!"

8.0

We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, which is a bit closer to the airport than many Cabo resorts, but then further from most of the main tourism area. We were greeted with margaritas on arrival, and as we were with a group, check in was pretty quick and easy. Our room keys were tied-on bracelets, which we’d had at our resort in St. Maarten as well, and I do have to say that I don’t think they’re my favorite setup. I’m also not entirely sure if that’s the norm here at the Hyatt Ziva, as I didn’t notice them on other guests around the resort, and our bracelets were marked with the our group’s logo. On that note, the resort definitely gets a shout out for doing an amazing job with the details for our group. There were about 700 of us here through the group, and the Hyatt Ziva incorporated our trip logo around the resort. There were our room bracelets, but they also had our trip logo on some of the water feature decor around the resort, set up a little photo booth area with the group logo, and had the group logo projected onto the buildings at night. They were really nice, little touches that made the trip feel special. We had an Ocean View Master View King that looked over the adult pool, and then out at the ocean. The room had a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and a jacuzzi tub, and the bedroom area was quite spacious as well, with the bed, a couch, and a table and chairs. Our balcony also had a little table and chairs as well. Our bed and pillows were comfortable, and I would say the mattress was one of the firmer ones we’ve had at a hotel - a definite plus for my husband. The hotel has three buildings, but only one of the buildings offers swim-up rooms. Since our room was in that building, we spent quite a bit of time walking by them, and I would definitely consider upgrading to one in the future! Overall the room was great, and the resort was really nice. It’s very clean and smells lovely, and there are tons of seating and gathering spaces. The only “complaint” I can come up with is that some of the elevators are in the midst of remodel or repair. We typically take the stairs on vacation, and our room was on floor 5. So we got our steps in, but when it was time to check out, my husband didn’t really want to carry the suitcase down five flights. However, only one elevator was in operation, and they’re pretty small. We tried twice, but both times it was filled with families with strollers, so he ended up just carrying the suitcase.

"Outstanding Service That Made This Visit Truly Special"

10.0

We have been coming to the Ziva for the past five years. While we’ve had a butler for the last two years, this was the first time we truly felt how valuable that service can be. Eduardo was absolutely outstanding—attentive, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. Our room had a few small issues, and because we chose not to have daily cleaning service, maintenance and the drink cart could not enter without coordination. Eduardo handled everything seamlessly. He ensured maintenance could access the room, the refrigerator was restocked, and we never had to wait around. He also took care of all of our reservations effortlessly. Simply put, having Eduardo take care of us made a huge difference. I also want to give special recognition to Greece at the Indian restaurant. She went above and beyond to make sure we had chocolate ice cream with our dinner—and even coordinated with the French restaurant so we could enjoy chocolate ice cream there as well. That level of care did not go unnoticed. Lastly, Raul made AquaCycle so much fun, and Angel and Luis brought great energy to the noon water aerobics in the main pool. This trip truly stood out thanks to the incredible staff who made us feel genuinely cared for. We look forward to returning.

"Hyatt Ziva (Los Cabos) - What an amazing experience!"

10.0

This was our first stay at an all inclusive and the Hyatt Ziva exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and ready to assist with any of our requests during our week long stay. The rooms were large and airy and the air conditioning was great. The bathrooms were spacious and towels always fresh and in abundance. The snacks and drinks in room were an excellent feature. The front entrance was amazing and immediately immersed the guests in the beautiful setting and experiences to come. The availability to two beautiful restaurants on the beach, especially the Casa Cortez restaurants made our mornings extraordinary. Bryant, our server at the Cortez restaurant, made our mornings such a great experience! Friendly, authentically engaged with his guests, and paying special attention to our older guests had us coming back evey morning! Buffets at the Cortex were amazing too. The Dozo and Baja Grills were also exceptional and made our dinners so fun! Montse, our concierge, did a great job of management by walking around the resort to check in and assisted us with any requests. A more senior staff, Greecia, at the Baja grill, along with Manny at the pools always showed professionalism and patience in dealing with difficult situations. and we were impressed. Hot tubs facing the ocean, and the drink bars were awesome!
