Friendly staff and suited our needs

Unfriendly reception, filthy basement car park, No breakfast or restaurant as advertised on web site, broken fittings in bath room, insufficient pillows, no Bar available as per web site, very tired room, carpet needs replacing, no door on freezer, spa disgraceful, cigarette burns and rusty fittings. We stayed in the motel 7 years ago and it was very good that is why we booked again. Will never be going back and will be advising friends who come to Melbourne from Qld to visit friends in the area. DO NOT STAY AT BEAU MONDE INTERNATIONAL. 1 OUT OF 10

Booked this property as it had parking and we thought we'd treat ourselves to a spa unit for the last night of our holiday. The spa was very dated and took over 30 mins to fill to just cover the jets and it wouldn't turn on. I got dressed and went down to see reception as no one answered the phone when I tried to ring. I was offered another room but it was late and I didn't want to wait another 30plus minutes to fill another spa. in hindsight perhaps I should have changed rooms as the bed was so uncomfortable and had been 2 twins pushed together and they came apart during the night and I ended up sleeping in the gap.

The property met our requirements, the room was clean & comfortable.

Ordinary at best

When we arrived we tried to use the phone to contact the front desk to order room service but the phone did not work. We went back downstairs and spoke with the person on the desk who suggested that instead we could ring the front desk using a mobile to call them directly. Also there was NO ROOM SERVICE even though there was room service mentioned/offered in both the advertisement, the in room guest information book and a special room service menu on the counter above the refrigerator. This was most upsetting as my travelling companion is diabetic and may need food at night. There wasn't even the offer of any sort of breakfast! The onsite restaurant was closed and we were told that when the day manager was on he might be able to make us some sandwiches.... just not what I was expecting from a so-called boutique hotel. The spa bath had hair from a previous guest still in the jet holes. The place isn't in too bad of a state but is obviously old and needs some love. I also feel the room picture didn't match the room and accouterments we received.

Bed was very comfy, nice large room. We checked in at 2 am after a long drive from Sydney so 24/7 service desk was great also allowed us to check out late free of charge. Fast easy check in. Spa bath was very relaxing and didn’t take long to fill. Really nice black out curtains. The property itself is older in furnishings etc but overall it was a very pleasant stay.
