Katathani Phuket Beach Resort - SHA Extra Plus

It's perfect if you have a very young family...the water slides are the best...the breakfast is brilliant, there are 3 different venues, but you will need permission if moving away from your assigned breakfast site.

It's not that I didn't like it, but more feedback...you'll need to pay in cash if you want to save $$ due to the currency rates differ significantly, between cash or card.

Замечательный отель! С удовольствием вернусь туда еще, расположение огонь, прям на берегу, до пляжа с нового корпуса 5 минут ходьбы, персонал лучший, всегда помогут, все на высшем уровне, молодцы! Уборка каждый день, замена пляжных полотенец, пополнение принадлежностей для ванны. Номер в новом корпусе класс! Завтраки класс!!! Для детей рай, горки, игровая, развлечения, ребенок не хотел уезжать, теперь просится обратно)) рядом есть кафе, массаж, обмен валют, фрукты, супермаркеты, до Каты 5 минут на такси. До Будды 20 минут на машине.

Alternative dining options

Very large property. Didn’t like that you had to walk down the street to get to breakfast

Size of the resort

When we arrived at the resort, we were informed that the room we had reserved was unavailable due to renovation work. As a result, we were downgraded to a smaller room without any meaningful compensation, except for a one-night dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants. What made this even more frustrating was that, prior to our trip, we had sent three emails to the property requesting the cancellation of our reservation, but we never received any response. Overall, the property is poorly maintained. The hotel feels old, with outdated furniture, poor cleanliness standards, unfriendly customer service, a lack of attentiveness, and slow service. Both the room and several facilities had unpleasant odors. The beach experience was also disappointing. Unless you are willing to sit directly on the sand, they are charging guests an additional fee to use the beach loungers. For a property marketed as a 5-star resort, the experience was extremely disappointing. In reality, it felt more like staying in a 3-star hotel. The gaming room contained broken equipment, and the lighting throughout the room was inadequate, with some lights not functioning at all. The refrigerator had a noticeable dent, the iron was broken and missing the lid of its water reservoir, and the bed sheet was torn and even had a blood stain on it. This was, without a doubt, the worst 5-star hotel experience I have ever had.

Good food, maybe lacking fresh juices , but I guess it would the fall into more expensive category. Great territory and friendly staff. Especially Mr. Shevket at the reception who showed us around and helped solved a few issues.
