Katathani Phuket Beach Resort - SHA Extra Plus

We had a wonderful stay at Katathani Resort. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our swim-up room was definitely worth it and made the stay extra enjoyable. The pool facilities are excellent, especially for families. There is plenty of variety with swimming pools, water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool, so there is always something to do for both children and adults. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection and was a great start to each day. Housekeeping did an excellent job, keeping the room spotless every day. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. We also made use of the hotel’s taxi service, which was reliable and convenient. Overall, a fantastic family-friendly resort with great facilities, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. We would happily stay here again.

We had the most amazing week at Katathani Beach Resort. The rooms were lovely and clean, well appointed and we loved our balcony. The resort is huge with lots of different pools to try, the restaurants food was absolutely delicious and the staff so beautiful and friendly. The gyms well appointed and great to work off all the food and drinks! There are a few massage shops nearby to get a traditional Thai massage which we did daily. We loved our trip so much we plan to return next year.

We have just arrived at Katathani Phuket Beach Resort after a long trip, and our experience has been very disappointing. The main reason we booked this hotel was to stay right on the beachfront. However, when we arrived, we were informed that our Family Room was located in the Bhuri Wing, which is across the road from the beach. At no point during the booking process was it made clear that some room categories are located separately from the beachfront section of the resort. When we explained that we specifically booked this hotel for its beachfront location and asked whether we could be moved to a room on the beach side, the staff immediately told us that no rooms were available until the following month, without offering any alternatives or showing any willingness to assist. The advertising gives the impression that guests are booking a beachfront resort experience, which is misleading when certain room categories are actually located across a public road. Guests should be clearly informed of this before making a reservation. To make matters worse, we found used soap left in the bathroom upon arrival. This is unacceptable from a hygiene perspective and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness standards of the hotel. Overall, this has been a very disappointing start to our holiday. If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would, but unfortunately that is not an option. Based on our experience so far, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a genuine beachfront resort experience.

Very nice staff, central location, beach view, good variety of restaurants

Felt more like a four star than a five star hotel especially when compared to other 5 star hotels in Phuket. Hotel looked a bit dated and tired which is why I’d call it more 4 star. Breakfast had minimal variety and bot many appealing western options.

It is one the best hotels we have ever stayed in. My kids absolutely loved it. Vhari Wong has got amazing water rides and kids had an absolute blast. They did not have any option for Indian veg food in breakfast so that was little issue. Rest of all absolutely amazing hotel
