Stay Express Inn Near Ft. Sam Houston

The beds were quite hard. We also woke up to roaches in our bathroom one morning. Needless to say, you get what you paid for and we will definitely be paying more for our next hotel.

Upon entry to the room, there was a musty smell. The bathroom was old and the bed sagged in the middle.

Went down to San Antonio for a weekend getaway, did I pick a bad weekend (August 1st), they had a convention there. Every hotel I called near the Riverwalk was booked. Every location was overcharging for the weekend. I called in to my Choice Privileges Rewards Program and this is the location they referred me to. I am a elite platinum member and normally stay in Comfort Inn or Comfort Suites. This was my first time ever staying in a Rodeway Inn location and let me tell you I was very disappointed. I was charged a rate of $99 a night, now I stay in Comfort Inn on a weekly basis for work in a nice community, for that same rate. The hotel and that area were not worth that price. Now if I were charged the $59 I would have bumped it up one star. The staff was nice but the rooms were very outdated. They are still providing tube television to watch. It only had one bar of soap (lucky I carry my own) for two guest. The clock didn't have a cd player or auxiliary attachment. The bed was fair, the sheets were clean, and the room was clean. The air conditioning worked fine. It looked like they may have had a iron and ironing board that were removed from the room. This was a last resort deal for me and I will not be returning to this location for that price. They did offer Wi-Fi and some type of breakfast they I did not use.

Alot of people hanging around. Stains on pillowcases.

Wife owner very sweet and helpful. These owners are going broke by Lois of place. Old smoke still smells. Bar of soa was used! Ac stunk. Needs odd and paint wash curtains and spread new carpet. Room for two had 1 creamer and sugar. No bugs. Linens clean. Bed good. Price not bad

Simple affordable clean place to stay in a decent area. These motels all have the AC unit that runs all night, but other than that, it was great. Wifi worked great.

Carpets, TV, and pillows need to be updated but other than that was fairly clean. The location was great. Had microwave and fridge good for the price.

Our stay was short, a quick weekend. It was musty when we first got there but clean. We turned on the AC and used some air freshners and it helped. We had no problems with the items there and room cleaned daily-no problems there.

Stayed 2 nights here, and got what you would expect for an inexpensive motel. Single bed, desk, and a couple of hard chairs. Night attendant was nice enough and the room was okay.

had an extremely early checkout time but it was in a very useful part of town, near a bunch of restaurants and stores and cheap distance from Riverwalk by bus or taxi
