American Star Inn & Suites Atlantic City

Comfortable enough & the price was right, I was tired when I got here around 10:30 so I was happy that check in was easy and quick.

The check in clerk gave me a hard time because I asked for a room on the first floor due to my companion using a walker. They said I had to call and cancel my reservation because they didn't have any accommodations for handicap. It was late at night and I had already driven all the way there. I had to convince him to give me any room available and the the person could walk up the stairs to the room. The parking lot was less than halfway empty so its impossible to believe they had no rooms on the first floor. The rooms was mediocre and the lock on the door was loose. Because of the later night hour it was my only choice but I would definitely not be staying there again.

Place was ok clean. Wht i dont like....... Paid over 200$ for a night, when checking in. You have to give a securigy deposit of 100$ cash only. Smoking, you need to go across the parking lot on the other side to smoke. There is no where to put ur cigs. Was waiting for tht security deposit to be taken. I dont know ic the lady is like this all the time, but she argued with everyone that arrived or came back to their room. Because they were talking or whatever the reason may be. I seen about 4 peple leave. I know they left because words were exchanged. One was so bad, things were thrown and my car was hit with a cup of coffee. Not that i seen the person themselves. But the only person from that way was the lady whom worked there. I did not check in until 1030 pm. It was a all night battle between the owner and guest. Around 5am i was able to sleep. At 6am was awaken again and i was exchausted to the poing to pay again. I went on line and found a good price of 63$ , was told it was excepted threw online booking, to pay cash of 85$ the second day wasnt bad but i was knocked out for the day. When leaving their were cops there and was asked if i seen anything by the cops when checking out. I felt like i couldnt say anything about my car or they w kee my deposit. Unfortunately, i couldnt mention it as the cops were there when leaving. It was myself. A room to sleep up to 3. When asked if i would have a guest , i said no, if yes, 10$ per night. Smh

I've stayed there three times now, and they still ask for $100.00 Deposit. My Credit Card has a $5,000.00 limit, you would think they would ask me for the card versus the cash... I had to run to ATM all three times I stayed there even after I offerred Card for collaterral. They still made me go get the cash, I told them I don't carry cash! The owners have become a bit more friendly, however it's a decent place to stay, and very clean in the rooms

The staff here is unprofessional and rude, I really didn’t like the way I was spoke to by one of the staff. I will not recommend any of my friends or family this hotel.

Clean room, updated bathroom. Quick check in. I did not know you had to leave an additional $100.00 cash deposit to cover any damages that might occur.

It's was the worst hotel stay of my life

Couldn’t understand the people at the counter woke up the next day with bug bites all over me and my family definitely will not refer anyone to that place and I know for sure r next trip to Atlantic City definitely not staying there

Pillows were stained, sheets were stained, room smelled funky. I left with insect bites. This hotel needs major renovation.

Very rude, wouldn't take a family there.
