Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Regina by IHG

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Regina East on Saturday, September 27th, and it turned into one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. At around 3:45 a.m., I woke up covered in huge bite marks all over my neck, hands, and arms. When we turned on the lights, we discovered the bed was infested with bed bugs (we have both photos and video proof). I went down to the front desk to report it and had to wake up the front desk agent. I showed him the bites and explained the situation, but he offered no real help. We immediately packed up, left some of our personal items behind (including our own pillows), and drove back to Saskatoon at around 4:30 a.m. When we got home, we had to empty our entire vehicle into the garage and wash every single item we brought with us. The bites and severe itching lasted for four days. The hotel’s response was beyond disappointing. They initially offered to reimburse me for just the one night, and only after I complained further did they add a so-called “gesture” of one free night stay at their hotel. After everything we went through, that was an insult, not compensation. I’ve tried reaching out to the GM and even head office, but everything keeps getting directed back to the hotel—and the GM won’t respond. I find it unacceptable that a major chain like Holiday Inn would treat a serious health and sanitation issue this way. Bed bugs are not only disgusting but also cause physical and emotional stress, and the way this hotel handled the situation was completely unprofessional. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Great front desk staff! They were very accommodating when we made a booking error online. The family suite was very roomy.

Excellent location easy access and plenty of restaurants nearby and at the hotel. Very nice customer service from front desk even though she was in training, good job.

Carpet was gross, bathroom was dated.. it did not live up to the quality expected of a Holiday Inn Express - like the one on College Drive in Saskatoon.. that is what we expect.
