Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa

The restaurant was ok.

I called before hand to see if the hottub was working and was assured it was. They had some heavy wind earlier and shit it down. They never got around to opening it again even though the weather was fine. When we got to our rooms it was very hot. 2 hours later and it still hadn't cooled down. We called and they sent someone up. He tinkered around and said that was all he could do. Our room stayed near 80 degrees. They didn't switch us rooms and we sweated all night. I called the front desk and was told that they didn't have a manager there and everyone was new. We checked out early and went and slept on our car because our room felt like a sauna and we needed some sleep before we started our drive. Nobody was helpful, communication was horrible and they couldn't even bother to have a manager on grounds to address issues. The entire hotel gave off a feeling that they just didn't care anymore.

Location for symposium so it was very convenient. Staff was friendly and it was clean.

The temperature in the room was horrible, the AC ran hot for 2 nights- over 80 in the room asked to fix twice- finally stopped the warm air blowing from the AC to have the heat the last night of my stay blow cold keeping the room temperature overnight in the 50s!

The best thing about this hotel is the front desk!! They are really there to help with anything. From check in to check out and I went down to ask for a lot !!! They were always helpful, attentive and above and beyond. I especially had a lot of help from Mikhail, printing and organizing paperwork for me very last minute to have on time. Also, Mervie, Dhaneal, Jordan and Serafinn. Really everyone was amazing. Also the Starbucks people were quick smiling even when slammed. The rooms need remodeling but ok and there isn’t any sidewalks to be able to walk easily. Would def stay again.

Mindy in the restaurant was great!! Bad timing with the pool. Manager told me they were waiting for a State inspector to come and test the water after an incident. Guess the inspector took off early to start their weekend.

The internet said they had a concierge lounge, but they don't. I was disappointed. We would have chosen a hotel that did if we had known. Rooms were nice. Breakfast was great. Service was good.

Our stay included breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. The choices were perfect and the food very good. The best part of our stay was the daily morning greeting by Mindy, thoughful, always smiling, waitress. Mindy truly became a friend in the short time we were in KY. Marriott...she's a keeper!!
