Barceló Maya Colonial - All Inclusive

The facility and vegetation was stunning. It was easy to get around for its size, this is with a 2 and 4 year old. The layout was simple and I had no issues finding what we were looking for. The premium beach front room (ground level) at the colonial couldn’t be better for the kids and convenience getting to the splash park. The el la carte meals were top tier, the buffet was a pretty standard buffet but still good. The premium level is a must though, you’ll be very sad with the beverage quality outside of the premium liquor bottles. Overall we would definitely do this again.

Stunning resort, the grounds and the architecture are very beautiful. Clean resort the food was about a four out of five, but there was always something great to have. The à la carts were delicious. The beach is a focal point if you’re into snorkeling, you don’t even have to leave the resort or go on a tour you can snorkel with turtles and their natural habitat right off the shore of the resort. We saw a few stingrays as well and a lot of interesting wild. I would return to this place

Ils a fabulous resort but need more activity ! Buffets are insane ! The à la carte kyoto is unbelivable !

Beach and snorkeling were as advertised. Room and location were excellent. Sit down restaurants were very nice. Only con was the food at buffet and beach restaurant was only average as compared to cruise lines or Las Vegas

Second time visit. Still impressed with the hotel and service enjoyed the beach the pools and the family friendly atmosphere even though we are seniors without any children with us

Great place, staff was less friendly than the first time I came here. The first time I came here was a great time and I knew I would be coming back, but after this experience I am left unsure. I expect staff to have an air that they are glad that I am there. Especially because I am a low maintenance person. The staff felt unfriendly doing the bare minimum of their jobs. I do not want to feel like I am bothering the bar tender asking for a drink, or trying to get beach towels.

I have enjoyed the barcelo 10 times and plan on coming every year as a premeier guest the last 2 times i have stayed, and hope to recieve the same when i return

I would definitely recommend your resort. I have a friend going there at the end of this year and I told her that she would love it.

needs improving, buffet,and entertainment for adults throughout the day. Kids were very noisy walking hallways after 12 pm

Nice room beautiful beach food was never hot need place to get some snacks chips pretzels or popcorn
