"Chairs chairs chairs !"

If you are a beach lover ,this is the place. The ocean is so so nice for swimming. Turtles ant certain times of the day. Unfortunately, having to get up at 7am to get a beach chair by the ocean is not good. This is not right. Saving spots at pool and near ocean . This causes shortage of chairs. Seeing people throw towels off chairs and taking the beach chairs is sad. Besides the chaos of the chair issue. This is a great place.

"Dolphin enclosure"

We absolutely love the Barcelo resorts. Every building has its own vibe. The only reason II gave a 4 stars is because the abandoned dolphin enclosure. It’s very sad what happened and to see it closed down. We think it should be redone a memorial with lovely gardens and statues of dolphins. Like a garden sanctuary for people to walk through. Also add a Batista at every buffet! Muchas gracias! We’ll be back, It was lovely.

We are Here right now at Maya Colonial, having a wonderful time. Checking in at the reception was a breeze. Was nice to be greeted by Friendly happy hard working staff. Room was very nice and cleaned daily. The seafood restaurant was our favourite so far, we are yet to try the steakhouse. People work very hard here to keep customers happy. Thank you all for a Wonderful vacation!

"Food was horrible, resort was nice enough. Definitely NOT a 5 star anything."

Huge resort. Lots of things to do. Food was easily the worst I've ever experienced at any mexico hotel. The actual grounds were very nice and well kept. Our room was awful, run down, the doors on the main console were falling off lol. Only a single plug on the bed side. Thankfully, we brought extension cords. Staff were all wonderful. And outside our room, things were well kept. We had talked to a lot of people and we didn't meet a single one that thought the food was good. Even the ala carts were awful. Cold, undercooked/overcooked. Whatever you do, don't go to the lunch Buffett at the tropical pool. The worst food at the entire 4 resorts. Just horrible. Too far from the airport as well..will never go back.

"Annual Trip to Barcelo Maya Resort"

Had another great trip! Weather cooperated and we had great days enjoying the sun, beach and pool. A tad warmer at the pool than last year, however all was good. What a great resort to relax at.

"OK but will not visit again."

The staff that make the omeletts were so nice. Also the housekeeping was really nice. But to run to the beach 7 in the morning to get a chair is only stressful.
