Room was dark and depressing with poor lighting. The bathroom was in need of being replaced and modernised. Hanging space poor. The decor is just awful everything brown so needs uplifting.

The rooms. The breakfast food being packed away just as I started to eat my meal. The staff smoking outside of the front door. The depressing decor. Sleeping in the bed was like sleeping on a grave. There was absolutely no spring in the bed so it was like concrete and the pillows are like stones. One of the most uncomfortable stays in a hotel I’ve ever had.

Location was ideal of us hence booking it. The room was lovely & spacious. Bed was really comfy, hard mattress but that’s what I prefer. Hotel & room was really clean. It wasn’t very busy so it was a quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff on reception. Only gripe I have is the lack of plug sockets in the room. No plug sockets either side of bed, just 1 UBS charging port with no type C connection. Overall quite pleased with our stay.

Four of us went to Mour hotel Annesley for a high tea has a surprise for my sisters 80th birthday on Friday May 8th 2026 . A few weeks before we went in to the hotel and spoke to the receptionist who was very obliging about the high tea and booked it right away as the pictures on the Web sight looked beautiful with lovely dainty sandwiches and a good mixture of gorgeous cakes and scones with jam and cream just like you would expect. But what we were served was nothing like there where sandwiches has big as doorsteps plastic looking ham and a cheese slices instead of proper cheese the cakes were a brownie, flap jack and a small millionaires shortbread it looked like they had been to a super market to buy them it was atrocious we did get a scone cream and jam the scone was only a inch thick.but that wasnt to bad We had to leave all the crust on sandwiches as it was to hard .We told the young lad that was behind the bar who by the way was really helpful that we were very disappointed he told the catering staff and they didn't have the curtesy to come and speak to us in my own opinion they knew it wasnt right. We took the rest of our food that was left home which was quite a lot to show our family what was served ( not to eat it )they all said it wasn't exceptiable I Rang to speak to the manager on Monday 11th May 2026 I was told he wasn't there so I left my phone number for him to call and I never received a call from him .We paid nearly £100.00 for this meal and it wouldnt have cost them £15.00 for the 4 of us it was diabolical, If any one is going to go there for a high tea make sure you know what your getting we thought we did and we were so shocked. So if I were you get it in writing as it really spoilt our surprise for our sister bless her awfull isnt a strong enough word for this high tea so be a where Mrs A B Millard on behalf of my other 3 sisters too.
