Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge

Generally, when I am in Chicago, I will stay downtown; however, a conference brought me to Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge and my stay was a pleasant surprise. Everyone was so kind and inviting. I can’t wait to come back the next time I visit Chicago. Thank you for a great stay!

Clean hotel, plenty of parking. I was upgraded which was appreciated. There is a lounge for elites but only open during the weekdays. One morning there were pancakes and the other mornings it was just eggs and fruit. The biggest issue I had was with their wifi. Traveling for business I needed WiFi and even though I had the enhanced internet, my wifi dropped several times. I would be reaching Netflix and the TV would buffer and reset constantly. Probably 10-25 times on a two night stay. Talked to a woman at the front desk who said their wifi is always an issue. So keep that in mind when you book as it was very frustrating especially trying to zoom for work.

The moment we checked in, everything was amazing. The front desk was helpful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next stay. Our room was comfortable. The food is amazing, pool is very nice and so is the fitness center. Next visit will be with our kids.

Nice upscale area and great lobby and bar area.

We reserved a room w a pullout sofa and when we went to use it, there were no bed linens in the closet and it was filthy under the bed/sofa. We were so grossed out we didn’t use it.

This hotel's prime location is advantageous for Chicago visits; however, the guest experience is significantly compromised by inadequate design and management. The guest rooms are notably undersized, lacking essential furnishings such as dressers and dedicated luggage storage. The bedroom area is minimally furnished, containing only a bed, small side tables, and a television. Notably absent is a closet, further limiting storage options. Cleanliness was also a concern, with visible debris on the floor. The limited storage extends beyond the bedroom area, with the only hanging space located in a separate part of the room, still without provision for luggage. The bathroom is equally deficient, consisting of a toilet, a standalone sink, and a single small shelf. This necessitates storing towels and other amenities in the main room. During my stay, the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body soap dispensers in the shower were empty. Furthermore, the front desk staff exhibited a lack of hospitality, creating an unwelcoming check-in experience. While the hotel's location undoubtedly contributes to its occupancy, I would not recommend it to travelers seeking more than basic overnight accommodation. The lack of essential amenities, inadequate cleanliness, and subpar service detract significantly from the overall guest experience.
