Personal welcome note was a nice touch. The reception staff were friendly and said they would pass on my concerns to head office. Bed was comfortable and carpets clean.

Standard of cleaning was poor. Hairs in bathroom sink plug hole, dusty wooden chair and dirty windows. Unable to adjust the temperature of the rooms, stain on duvet cover. Water pressure in shower very poor. Threadbare carpets in hallways.

Red Lion Hotel is an old-fashioned yet comfy and warm place to stay. The interior is very nice and makes you feel very special. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will come back. The breakfast was on special at the time, and it was a perfect start to the day.

I only stayed one night. I wish I could stay longer...
