Hotel Minerva

What an amazing hotel, the pictures on their website don't do it justice. It's definitely boutique in style and beautifully laid out. We had a room in the annexe with incredible views from the balcony. The service was exceptional. Antonio and Rochelle in the bar were fabulous and cocktails delicious, watch out for Lemon Kiss and Foolish, delish but strong! We went half board and weren't disappointed with the quality and choice of food. Giuseppe is a total charmer but all staff were great. Franco at pool bar regularly adjusted your umbrella to get just the right amount of sun! So combine great service and food with incredible views (and a religious festival with fireworks from the balcony) equals fabulous stay, and we'll definitely return

Comfortably the best hotel I have ever stayed in yet. The views are jaw dropping from everywhere in the hotel. We were on the 7th floor and our room was spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. But what really makes this hotel is the staff. I have never been to a hotel before where every single member of staff makes you feel so welcomed and looked after. We will 100% return in a few years. Thank you to all of the staff at Hotel Minerva, you truly made our stay so special.

they stuck my daughter and I in the basement and off to the side. no hot water. ridiculous. people who work at the pool are rude.

There's not much to dislike,our hotel room was nice .

First impressions when we pulled up in the taxi , I just thought wow just so beautiful. Entered the hotel and it's so fresh, airy and clean. Staff are so friendly and will go above and beyond for you. Our room, absolutely beautiful. We booked an attic view and then got a call to say they will upgrade us to a balcony. My breath was taken away when they opened the balcony doors. Honestly I have never seen anything more beautiful. The bedroom was absolutely spotless. Cleaned every day and fresh towels. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The waiter that was there every morning is so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on his face. The view alone was worth the money. When I read it was uphill I thought I had made a mistake because I didn't want us exhausted but honestly I'm not the most fittest person but I didn't find it bad at all so don't let that put you off. I would highly recommend this hotel. My parents stayed here 31 years ago and recommended it to me , it did not disappoint at all. I feel it added to our experience

A charming hotel. The most lovely, colorful bar and reception area. The buffet breakfast was outstanding!! quality food, and the most excellent staff!! the pool was perfect and also great pool attendant. The mattresses could've been a little more comfortable, but overall it was an excellent stay. great view! friendly helpful staff.

My wife and I have just returned from a week at Hotel Minerva, and we are so glad that we chose it. With the hotel's elevated location, our balcony room provided the most incredible views of the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and Sorrento. The hotel is situated just a short walk from the town and Marina Grande, whilst still providing sufficient isolation from those to allow us to enjoy the hotel's own evening entertainment or peaceful time on our balcony. We stayed half board: for breakfast, there were plenty of cereal and continental options, plus the offer of bacon and eggs (scrambled or fried); for dinner, there were four starter, four main and usually three dessert options, plus a salad buffet. The choices were well balanced, so there were always options that appealed to us. Food quality was excellent. What sets this hotel apart, though, is its staff. It has been many holidays since I felt such genuine warmth from a hotel's people. Whether at breakfast, dinner, the bar/terrace or the pool area, the service was always exceptional. Absolutely exceptional. We would like to wish all staff at Hotel Minerva every success.

Beautiful view across the bay from the terrace (worth the 10 minute hill walk) and also from our great balcony room on the corner of the top floor. Great to sit out on with a drink and relax. Lovely room and bathroom made up daily with a comfy bed, safe, kettle and fridge. I’ve had better variety at breakfast but again being out on the terrace with the hotel’s excellent helpful and friendly waiting staff made it a pleasure. There are so many restaurants in town to visit I can’t comment on their dinners; lunches were okay, pricier than the same or better in town but we paid for the convenience. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t warm enough to try the pool but it looked pretty good with a nice and handy bar area serving food. The terrace is delightful and well maintained, drinks are available and brought to you from the bar with accompanying nibbles which were a nice touch. 2 reasons it didn’t get 5 stars; firstly months later the 3 postcards I’d taken the effort over never made it to ANY of their destinations. Don’t use the hotel box post in reception! Secondly, while helpfully booking a trip for us they didn’t add it to our check out bill and on returning an email conversation went back and forth for my credit card details. I happily paid over the phone but they didn’t seem to comprehend that putting all that information in an open email to reception was unsafe. Would I come stay here again? Yes
