Let's start by saying the room was disgusting, stains all over the bed, outdated room, filthy and dirty. To match this, the food was boring, dull and not exciting at all. Most importantly, cockroaches everywhere! Espeically when eating walking all over the dining floor and so unhygienic, disgusting place and nothing like pictures. Anyone who is here or planning to come, Enjoy!

Good and bad at this hotel. Good: apartment fine, all you need is there. Kettle, coffee and tea but not replaced when used. Drinks in fridge and a bottle of water. Brilliant shower! Very generous with towels! Food good, no complaints there. Sometimes needed a blast in the Microwave as not quite warm enough. Good pools although very cold. There’s a cage where people leave their inflatables for other people to use which is a nice touch. Great pool cafe with loads of goodies if you get hungry between Meals. Some of the staff are lovely, others need to take lessons in Hospitality! Ten minute walk to small beach with sunbeds Bad: found cockroaches! 2 in the bath, one on a plate in the cupboard and Quite a few in the corridors! Not good! Not nearly enough sun parasols for the amount of sunbeds! Quite a Few so broken they’re only fit for the tip! Mattresses a bit hard on the back Shower curtains instead of screens, not hygienic! One particular restaurant waiter quite rude the way he spoke to Customers. That’s a no no! They should always be polite if spoken to Politely. Would we return? Probably not because of the cockroaches and not enough sun parasols. Shame because most thing were ok and we enjoyed our stay.

Great location we went as a family 1 child and 3 adults and entertainment was 100% could not fault it. All staff were amazing and very welcoming. We will definitely be back

Wonderful staff, great accommodation and such a great variety of meals. After seeing some reviews on here, we were a little unsure what to expect. We do often roll our eyes and laugh at what some people find tot complain about, so while unsure about whether we had chosen well, we were also aware of all the positive feedback about BlueBay. This is an excellent 3 star hotel, please don't forget that it is listed as 3 star, so don't expect 4 star luxury. We often do 4 star but the previous positive reviews have expressed what a great place this can be. All staff were extremely helpful, attentive and polite. The waiting staff in the restaurant are amazing, being greeted by the English lady, Manuel and their colleagues with a smile and professionalism every day was excellent. They were very attentive with my dietary needs (gluten free) and would provide me food items at b breakfast to help make things easier. Rooms were a great size. Previous photos of chipped paint are pointless, as paint will always chip with weather wear and tear. Don't let them put you off, sunbeds are in great condition. Beach towels are not provided as with 4 star (remember it's not 4 star), but you can pay for these (or there are shops around the corner selling them for 5 euros). Our only disappointment is the head of entertainment terrifying us every morning with the volume he played the music at 10:30am. It really is too loud, you could either leave the hotel when he does that, or "put up with it." It really is too loud, no need for it and it is left like that for a few hours. So overall, we are very happy we found this little place. We loved Costa Teguise, which can be reached following the beach path, a beautiful 10-15 minute walk. Hennessy's Irish bar is a lovely place (also great food). It was super easy to get the no 3 bus to Puerto Del Carmen (catch the bus round the corner from hotel, really easy and only 3 euros). We went on a dolphin trip (booked online cheap), which was amazing as we saw hundreds of dolphins. So, thank you to all of you at BlueBay Hotel, it was a complete pleasure and we will definitely see you all again.

I read previous reviews on TripAdvisor as I always do before we visit somewhere. I can tell you now, that some of the bad points are unnecessary and ridiculous. We had a fantastic time. The staff are great, very hard working. Some come across as grumpy and they don't acknowledge you but they're just focused on their work. If you acknowledge them or engage in conversation, they're all very friendly and happy to help. I want to give a special mention to Mickey, Miriam, Maria and Leo (the animation team) Such a fantastic crew and a credit to the hotel. I don't know why people say the hotel is dirty because it isn't. They're are staff members constantly cleaning up messes and collecting dirty plates and cups. I can however understand people commenting on it being dated and a little worn out. That being said the maintenance team are working hard on fixing it. The beds weren't very comfortable but that's just personal preference. There were 2 members of staff out of the dozens working there that weren't pleasant. But it's not worth complaining about. As long as you don't come here expecting a 5 star hotel with a Michelin style restaurant and everything made with glitter and gold..... you will have a good time. The animation team alone make staying here worth while. And their Broadway production blows the roof off. I also have to mention the food. Absolutely delicious, every day. Traditional fried foods for breakfast with continental options. Lunch varied l, as well did dinner options. It wasn't repetitive, plenty of choice and caters for all ages. A couple of personal favourites of mine.....Turkey stew and homemade curry. Yum yum yum. Overall had a great holiday and will be visiting this hotel again.

Lovely hotel very clean friendly staff couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely food Great entertainment if you have children something different every night. Only a short walk into the main town and beach will definitely come back.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the hotel and over all I was really disappointed. We had read some negative reviews before we went but decided we would take the chance and I honestly wish we hadn’t. The hotel itself self is in a really good area close to shops and restaurants with the beach about a 15 minute walk, and the airport transfer was around 20 minutes. The staff are all pleasant in the restaurant and bars and they all work really hard. The main issues we had were with the state of the hotel it is very run down, there is paint peeling from the walls and in the pool the rooms are very old and need a good refurbishment if I had children who were toddlers I would of been really anxious about staying in the rooms. Our room was not cleaned regularly and although the beds were made 8 out of 10 days the sheets were not changed. Towels were only changed 3 times and we had to ask reception for one of these. There was mould in the shower and unfortunately it was not clean, the beds were uncomfortable to sleep on and the air con was so noisy you could not sleep with it on. The food was okay for an all inclusive and most days we could find something to eat but it was very repetitive and we did eat out 3 or 4 times during our stay. The entertainment team are fantastic and the children really enjoyed the disco and evening shows. The hotel does have a football pitch and tennis court but again it is very run down in dangerous in areas due to knocked down walls . I would never normally give such bad review but due to the price of holidays at the moment it was definitely not worth what we paid for it.

Would not return The good , the bad , the ugly. The good, holiday was cheap so didn't expect much, pool is ok 1 slide and ppl leave floats behind which staff put in a big cage for others to use. Kids entertain there defo is some but we've not used it. Food is ok as far as all inclusive goes. The bad Very run down, hole place needs a referb, lots of bugs about which I appreciate is normal in hot countrys but this is more than usual. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk to the beach and main shops. The ugly Where to start, its mainly the staff, some tbf are lovely. Most are grumpy and dont acknowledged you, but some are down right rude , had a waiter grab one of my kids (4 year old) and try and move them from one chair to another ( the waiter hadn't even spoken to me first) , he was very aggressive saying move now ( we wasn't in the way or causing any trouble) when I tried to explain just give us a minute to sort it out, he was rude then when I said oh just go away he said F**K YOU infront of children aswell, he then had the cheek to send the restaurant manager over to tell us off and she reckoned the waiter who swore at us couldn't speak english. I did have to laugh at that. My children do have additional needs so can't be rush but they shouldn't be treating any one like this, no wonder the hotel has such bad reviews, it also ruins the fact that some staff are lovely like the man who checked us in , he was so helpful and friendly its ashame the restaurant staff aren't and some of the bar staff aren't. Personal opinion if ur happy with a run down hotel and being verbally abused and touched by staff , this is your kind of hotel.

We have just returned from a week stay (2adults 2children 10& 15) I was worried after reading some mixed reviews and unfortunately the problems highlighted in negative reviews seemed to be our experience. The hotel and grounds are very run down and dated. It is lacking in cleanliness, such as restaurant floors not cleaned during meal times so any dropped food was left to be stood on and kicked around. Maid service is everyday except Weds, and towels are supposed to be changed every 3 days- we had to ask for new towels on day 5 and were only given 3, then 2 more a day later. Bedsheets were not changed at all. The drinks machines were constantly running out or encountered errors. Food is ok, enough choice so you won't be hungry but it is lukewarm at best. Pizzas were the best on offer and didn't last long once brought out. The slide into the pool had locks on it daily until maintenance came to fix what problem it had at some point through the day then it would be open to use. The pool area and sunbeds were not cleaned well, and was let down by other guests not tidying up after themselves, leaving used cups, plates and rubbish to blow around instead of putting them in the bins/collection points provided. Due to wind many drinks were spilt and spent days dried on the floor as area not cleaned/mopped regularly. The staff were all very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Rooms are very dated and old which doesn't bother us as it is just a base but having broken and damaged furniture, patio doors on ground floor that are difficult to close and lock properly is not good. Beds were old, not comfy and had dips in mattresses. We had ants coming in from cracks,so had to be very careful with any food and drink, and used the bug spray left under the sink. The location is about 15 mins to the main area (pueblo marinero) and beach 20mins. There are shops and some restaurants within 5 mins walk but we never used them. I understand it is 3* not luxury however overall cleanliness and facilities in good working order shouldn't be hard to achieve. I wouldn't return as I didn't feel it met these expectations.
