Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort

This hotel is amazing. In my opinion it is easily the best option in the region. The location is perfect, with easy access to a beach with very surface waves. Also the hotel is located in the heart of a very walkable town of shops and restaurants. But the best part is the people; the staff are jtrult kind and helpful. By way of example, our main server Bismarck was truly remarkable and outstanding; so kind and helpful ultimately our family. He’s made a great trip even better. Love this place and its people!

We have stayed at the Diria 3 times and always end up having a good time. The location is great if you want to be near the beach and town since it is located right in the middle of everything. Only downside is the street noise can be pretty intense, especially trucks and motorcycles. But you can walk to all the restaurants and stores. The rooms are average size and well maintained. The cleaning crew is excellent. The tours desk is great and will line up any activity you are interested in and also make very good suggestions. Breakfast is very good. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Security is good. Tamarindo has changed dramatically since we started coming here in 2004. The town itself is dominated by Americans. I guess for some that is good, for some not so good. Prices have escalated a lot but still not terrible. When you compare the prices for a room at the Diria all things considered they are not bad for what you are getting and especially compared to the large name brand hotels. All in all we would certainly recommend the Diria. You will not be disappointed.

This is truly the greatest value and hotel (regardless of price)! It is RIGHT on the beach, has beautiful pools, an amazing breakfast that's included and is right in the middle of town. I can't recommend it highly enough! We have stayed in several different places in Tamarindo and this is, by far, our favorite!

We are wrapping up a delightful visit to the Tamarindo Diria resort. Though we usually stay in a property condominium, for this visit we selected a family pool-side room with the hotel. The room was very comfortable, and included balcony seating area and refrigerator for beverages. A delicious buffet breakfast is included in the room cost, served daily from 7-10am. Hotel guests enjoy access to all of the hotel pools (2 adults only and one family), two of which include pool-side bars. Our family appreciates this resort and the surrounding town for great activities, a variety of restaurants, and wonderful locals who welcome visitors.

Lots to brag about when you mention The Diria resort. From the time you check in, you can feel there is something different about this place. The staff is amazing, the amenities are amazing, animals everywhere, no better views of beach and sunset than at Diria. The breakfast views and vibes are one of a kind.
