Hyatt Place Raleigh Durham Airport

The staff made my visit so much better than expected! I have stayed at Hyatt Place hotels before for work, and they have always been good for what I needed, but this was my best one yet and it was just for 1 night! I called when I landed to check if they had an airport shuttle and they sent one right over (it was around 9pm). Once I arrived, they checked me in quickly and out the next day just as quickly. In the morning, I was really hoping for a latte before heading to work but figured it would just be drip coffee. When I asked the front desk employee, she happily told me they had espresso, ran to get some milk and made me a latte from scratch on the house. It was extremely kind and got my day off to such a great start after having to stay up late for work.

Close to the airport

They do not bother to offer alternative breakfast when it is part of the inclusion just because it’s holiday. No microwave to reheat food. The worst is they charge their customer for extra night. Must only charge as per what is booked! I appreciate the reception to allow us to check-in earlier though as the room is ready.

Clean, kitchen, bar available and clean, and staff very friendly 👌 😀. Location to airport amazing as well.

The location

As soon as I stepped foot in the door there was a very dank smell, like old soiled carpet. The property felt very low budget (similar to Red Roof Inn). One morning a little after 9am they had run out of breakfast items. We had to leave the property to get edible breakfast options.

Room was very roomy and attractive

The noise from the room heater was horrible. The noise from the hall was constant. You could hear people luggage carts and doors being shut.

We checked in and was not informed that our King room that we paid extra for was down graded to 2 full beds. After seeing the room and questioning the assignment I was informed that because we booked with a 3rd party we were bumped down when someone directly booked with the hotel. There is one elevator that is out. The bathroom was dirty and the bathroom door won’t stay closed without something propped up against it. We’ve stayed here a couple times a year for the past few years but will be trying one of the hotels next door. There are 4 hotels all within walking distance of here. This has really gone downhill quickly. Spend your money elsewhere!
